      @Yodi Gak I never bought any seafood plate there because my family are experts in cuisine, the pay is kinda when you work in factories, but if you find a good profession like mechanic, electrician etc you can make great money off of it!!

    Was on a Sahsa (Honduran airlines that has since closed) from Costa Rica to New Orleans in 1976 (maybe 1974) when it blew its tires taking off in Belize (it made stops in most of the countries all along the whole peninsula on the way to the US) so it returned to Honduras and circled the airport in San Pedro Sula for what seemed like a long time. Then it landed with one set of tires still in the air and ran back and forth zig zag across the tarmac before stopping. Finally came to a stop and nobody was hurt. We exited using the emergency slides. When I got down to the ground, I could see that the undercarriage was on fire and the fire trucks were screaming toward us. Everybody was scrambling to get behind a small hill. The trucks put out the fire and then we had to wait for hours to continue on to New Orleans. It was a scary experience. I had friends waiting in New Orleans at the Sahsa counter and they took down anything that said Sahsa and swore to my friends that there was no flight scheduled from Central America that day. I was thankful that they waited hours for me and did pick me up. It's nice to see that San Pedro Sula is modernized.

      I married young lady from there in municipalidad de San Pedro according to local laws .
      I was married to young lady paid money at us immigration an our American embassy but my embassy broke up my marriage
      Deny her migration visa because of politics an she from very poor family
      I was poor they said lies she to sick to come to USA so I had to leave her
      I could not
      Hire local lawyer or us lawyer to help

    Fun fact, soo... almost all the internal flights go to San pedro because the toncontin airport (what was up to now the main international airport in the capital) was one kf the most dangerous in the world due to its location and short runway. Not it serves as a military airport for the Honduran National Air force. The New airport for the capital is Palmerola International airport in Comayagua. But by far San Pedro Sula is the best city in the country, the possibilities and adventure are endless there and home to bring my family with me one day!!

    I took a bus from El Salvador to Nicaragua some years ago, having to go through Honduras, and had a bad Honduras experience at the border which soiled it for me. Also a lot of other CentAm countries seem to talk a lot of trash about the country. I really liked the countryside but always heard bad things. Your first shots look nothing what I perceived. They even had a Dennys!

    • @mpleandre
      @mpleandre 2 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      They talk trash because, for example, El Salvador is pretty jealous about us. For decades they've dreamed about our territory. Nicaragua also has some issues with us. We're privileged to have this perfect spot, "the heart of the Americas", and that makes us one of the most hated nations in latin America.
      Concerning the border, yes, we have very tough border policies and processes, but that's due to all the drug and overall crime rates.

      They have pizza hut bojangles Dennys tgi Fridays chillis Fat Tuesdays Sundowners kfc.. wendys popeyes...pretty much everything

    • @KMO325
      @KMO325 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ocj305 I get all that, but Church’s Chicken (& Bojangles,my favorite fast food joint, for that matter) is not a national chain in the USA, but a regional chain. Regional chains are assumed to be, well regional. For example most people outside of the mid-Atlantic United States have never eaten at Bojangles, I and most people in the mid-Atlantic have never ate at White Castle or Jack-In-The-Box because those places are solely on the Western United States. So I was surprised that regional chain would be international-when it is not even national to its home country.

    Nice. San Pedro is a based city, although not as unique as Tegucigalpa, but pretty nice overall. Go for baleadas and pollo chuco! Enjoy your visit; Honduras is cheap, gorgeous, perfect for road trips, and has A LOT to offer, as pretty much every region has different traditions, cuisine and interesting sites.
    15:10 That is NOT a honduran drink, BTW. The most popular is either Tropical or Copan Dry

    Hey! You have been walking too much! Glad that you are having a good time in Honduras! Hey the most popular drink here is Coca -Cola and Pepsi. We have Copan Dry that is a beverage that is made in Honduras and it's delicious. If you need a free tour guide next time dm me.

    Las bebidas que te recomendaron en el supermercado no son de Honduras.

      Sí hombre. En la vida había visto esas bebidas. Tuvieron que haberle recomendado las Tropical o la Copan Dry.

      Pero si, malas referencias le dieron de bebidas
