    You should try pizza rustico, I found it in a bakery around Lecce, its this soft enclosed pastry filled with mozzarella and tomato sauce, its like eating pizza clouds, one of the best things I've ever tasted

      Next time we'll try to find it!! You definitely seem to have extensively experienced Italy and we're so jealous!! 😆

      @@locavore_eats I think it's called rustico salentino, they also call it pizza rustico. I've only seen this in bakeries and they make it fresh for you so just ask for it if you're ever in Italy. And yes, I love Italy, I live in the Netherlands but I love going on road trips with my car, sometimes I just drive around for a month and explore unknown villages. Once I drove around the Dolomites for weeks, I would sleep in tents in nature sometimes lol and then I get a cheap room for a day to shower and do laundry

    Hiya, I'm going to Naples on thursday, so I figured watching some travel vlogs couldn't hurt. You commentary was very informative and therfore helpful! At first I was a bit taken back by the weather and the fact that you were wearing thick winter coats, but then I read the descriptionbox ahah... Can't wait to go there!!

    Looking forward to your next vids, but I am wondering if you visited sicily by any chance? Really interested in the food and culture there. Your commentary on the places you visit is great! Keep up the work :)

    Hey AG, good job on this video. We were suppose to try 5 different pizzeria there to compare the margherita and neopolitan pizzas but only able to try 2 of them. I thought Michele was pretty good but then again it was only 2 places we tried. Best of luck to you and family.

      Thanks Manny!! Yes, we too were pretty ambitious with how much Neapolitan pizzerias we wanted to go to but managed to only go to one haha. Michele was our 2nd choice but glad to hear that you enjoyed it!! Definitely visiting next time. Hope you are well and staying safe :)

    The Long sfogliatella with cream inside is actually called "coda di aragosta" (lobster ' s tale). If u ever come back you should tast "il fiocco di neve" by poppepla, than You should have taste pizza salsiccia e friarielli, pasta with genovese or seafood (under castel dell'ovo there were some restourant. Fun fact on the castle: it was the first thing built in Naples, the legend say Virgilio did put an egg -ovo- in the foundament and if the egg will break, naples will be destroyed). I' m sorry you came with a rainy day.
    Oh and there is a funny "story" about some if the statue of palazzo reale..😆 try to find it!
    Great video!

    I'm planning on a day trip to Naples from Rome as well. Did you book your ticket on line with return or book the return at the station in Naples. What time would you suggest booking your ticket to return to Rome?

    • @locavore_eats
      @locavore_eats  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We booked both tickets online. If you really wanna make the most of your day trip then we suggest returning around 8:30 PM which was the time of our return train. Hope that helps!

    Great video! But don't say "I Think" when you are describing places that are.... When you started the video. Thanks!

      I said it since I wasn't sure at the time and the other castle we visited had a similar sounding name 😅 But thanks for watching really appreciate it!!
