I’m so glad you’re talking about this. I was 50 years young when I started. That was fifteen years ago and no one wanted to talk about menopause at the time. Now I’m 65 and that season has gone for me. I handled mine well. For me I changed the way I eat and I eliminated many things from my daily meals. Most people are not interested in giving up certain foods and drinks. I took on a holistic approach to my lifestyle and that has worked for me. I take a vitamin D3 daily and that has helped with mood swings. These days I work on achieving a healthy immune system and I can finally say I’m in a great place!
Thanks for reinforcing the benefit of freezing eggs. As it's something I started working on finances to do.. It's also essential for women to understand that freezing eggs does not mean successful birth, it's just having additional possibilities ( additional 5- 10% chance is great if available :) ), there are stories of several people who had one viable egg out of 2 rounds of egg retrieval cycles, some have no success, and some others, it worked like a charm right away...
I started menopause when I was 49. I am about to turn 75 and still going through it. The sweats are the worst, and I can feel when an episode is coming on. Thank God, I have been able to keep my sense of humor. I was told not to take HRT because my mom died from breast cancer at 39, and when I was 31, my GYN detected some cancerous cells in my cervix. Fortunately, he was able to remove them and all was well, praise God. I have regular pap smears to make sure everything is going well. HRT was not an option for me. I have learnt to deal with the flashes, but the tiredness is draining. It has really taken a toll on my life. Every bag I own is usually equipped with a fan and a wash cloth 😅.
I am so pleased you are talking about menopause. I am passionate about educating any woman I meet so that the next generation will not suffer like us. I am educating my daughter now. There are so many other symptoms we experience as we go through this journey. Vertigo, tinnitus, brain fog, diabetes, hypertension, and many more. Please, we all need to educate ourselves because some doctors will not really explain that much to you. There are so many books and podcasts out there for us to learn. Anti-inflammatory diet is a good place to start. Please read The Galveston Diet by Dr. Marie Claire Haver, try fasting, eliminate processed food and sugar, especially added sugar and exercise. Start by eliminating inflammatory oils. Use avocado oil and olive for cooking. Use sparingly. Menopausal women are at risk of Dementia read The XX Brain by Lisa Mosconi. See you all in New York.
HRT changed my life!!! I didn't know how bad I felt until I got on Hormone Replacement Therapy and felt so much better after❤ You look stunning as always, love the outfit!!
Thanks sis for this topic. Women need to know about menopause. Mine started at age 50. I thought my village people were roasting my head on the fire until I had a full Menopause training offered by the company I work with.😂. Its a terrible experience. However positive attitude and self care plays a vital role. ❤
I am ready for this discussion. I am 48 residing in North Carolina, USA. I have struggled with a lack of energy since being diagnosed with perimenopause. I'm ready for whatever information you provide as it can be rough.
Read The Galveston diet by Dr. Marie Claire Haver and her new book the The New menopause. She focuses on food to help alleviate some of the symptoms. She is also a menopause certified doctor in Texas. I stumbled onto her on social media. She is excellent. I live in Chicago, but hoping to consult with her to start some form of treatment. Hope this helps.

You're looking good, Christina. I'm trying to remember the last time I was that size. Like 20 years ago, literally. You've inspired me to go fetch that body
I started using 2 tablespoons of ground flax seed for my symptoms, and it helped. You can sprinkle it on food in drinks, etc. I also exercise, cut off alcohol, red meat, and dairy.
Thank you so much for being real. For speaking on the topics presented, I believe that women need women to talk with about being women and we need a space we’re we can unapologetically be ourselves. We go through so much in silence trying to figure things out. Thank you
Hello Sis and everyone else, you look stunning. Thanks for this episode.55 years young my thing is sex the appetite for it isn’t as great I went from begging for it to him now begging for it 😂😂😂and the African culture it’s something that isn’t discussed unfortunately, so you my sister are heaven sent thank you so much love you
I did not have periodic stops. I had a cycle twice in one month a couple of times. Because I was 53 and had not had tapering off cycles, my doctor had to do a procedure to bring on menopause. Love that shirt. Can you link it. I was lucky that I did not have hot flashes and I never took hormone supplements.
@@christinastylist That would be fantastic 💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾. I will be having gastric sleeve surgery on the 4th of June. I am looking forward to your future vlogs. 🙏🏾❤️

Hello Christina, Thank you for menopause info and very helpful. I’ve been dealing with menopause and it’s no joke. I will consider HRT. Much love my beautiful sister ❤and have a blessed day 😘
I started menopause at 49; my older sister told me that her female doctor who was into holistic medicine told her to eat yams ant take a product called Soycare. It worked for me, speak with your doctor before taking any supplements.
Great episode! My daughter Le'Nise Brothers (@eatlovemove) is a Nutritional Therapist, specializing in womens' health and hormones and she's also the author of the book "You Can Have a Better Period". She lives in London and I wish you could meet her. A lot of these symptoms can be controlled by which foods we eat an NOT eat. Every female should have this book. I wish it was around when I was having my menstrual cycle.
