- Segmented Bowl made with Birds Eye Black Walnut, Black Oak, Aged Tanoak, & African Padauk (small dots). This was a fun bowl to make, and really turned out good.

That is beautiful. Just a question, did you make this design and where do you get your inspiration from, is it books, is there websites that i can get ideas from. I’m just really interested in interested in bowl tuning.
Thank you so much Rodney! I had seen a few videos on TH-cam on how to make a segmented bowl, but never did one until I made this one. I specifically designed this bowl for a customer who wanted a "Native American" type of bowl for their cabin on the Klamath River. I designed this with a CAD program to get all the dimensions of the segments that I needed. It's quite complicated to describe the process, but I think by watching this video, you can get the idea. :) Thank you for your positive and encouraging words!
