Solan Tourist Places- Best Place in Solan
The history of Solan dates back to the times of Mahabharata when the Pandavas stayed in the region, during exile. Named after the Hindu Goddess Shoolini Devi, the city celebrates the Shoolini mela in the month of June as a three-day fair. Solan evolved during the British rule. First, the cantonment area and the brewery were set up.

A few years down the road, the Kalka-Simla railway line was built and started. 1:14, 2:10, 3:15 Through the years, the town kept changing. After India's Independence, Solan and its neighbouring regions were separated from the state of Punjab and made into Himachal Pradesh. The Solan district and town municipalities were then formed in 1972.
