Well.... It looks like war is on the horizon....(But probably after Snezhnaya's arc ends). I mean, we've known for a while now that several factions like the Fatui and Abyss Order want to wage war on Celestia and the Heavenly Principles. But now it looks like what was once just speculation seems to be a confirmed reality in the future.
Could it happen in Natlan?

One of venti's big brain moves was to make peace with the hexenzirkel. Make them trust his nation enough to be the home for their children/creation/student. That way, these powerful witches will protect mondstadt since they have their precious persons there.
With his nation secured, venti can focus on whatever he's planning to do.
This is just my headcanon though haha.

I have to say, people were wondering Why Wanderer was so soft in this event, it’s because early on he knew about DURINS story and related, he’s healing and wanting to care for other even if he has to act like he isnt, but at the very very end of this event before wanderer walks off we get to see him back to being himself with his “stop trying to read my thoughts” ALSO HIM AND ALBEDO MEETING?! and huge lore drops that wanderer could be in?! That’s AMAZING

yyes, Nahida is doing great job teach Wanderer how to become human again. also Wanderer is also good person deep down, "b-but he killer many people in his life". thats why when we soing his quest he giving him a choice. to know the truth living with sin that will you attone, or livong completly new live without knowing anything your past. he pick the first fully knowing what he is, sure its lazy redemption arc but the progress he make, make for it.

Durin, an artificial dragon that was SO posionous, that it wasn't immune to its own posion. Even in its final moments, Durin only thought that it was playing with Dvalin, not fighting him in a cataclysmic battle that robbed Monstadt of many lives

actually, in his final moments, he realized that he's actually causing harm. which makes it pretty sad. just like Elynas realizing he's actually doing harm to everyone.
He was immune to Its own poison/abyss. I don't remember anyone saying He wasn't.

I think its funny that scaramouche tells the traveler to stop trying to guess what hes thinking considering all the headcanons of the fact nahida likes to read wanderers mind to mess with him sometimes

It's not headcanon, it's from interdarshan event.
If you try to scan Wanderer mind using Nahida E, it will show that he knows that Nahida read his mind, and he actively blocking his real thought.

So, in all chances:
1. All mysteries that are still lurking in the shadows will come back to Mondstadt, the very first nation Traveler landed. The way the game introduced this nation is so mesmerizing that even us caught off-guard at this point of the lore. And we thought Natlan would show us bigger lore bombs.
2. The mystery of Gnosis could be revealed at Snezhnaya, as we know that the Cryo Archon has an aim of collecting the pieces for a core purpose that is still not known at all.
3. We know that Durin and Elynas are the creations of Gold (Rhinedottir), but since the Traveler stopped the heart of Elynas to revive whatever the remains of Elynas, there's no doubt that Durin is the one that would be revived, although there's a chance that it could change a bit shocking.
4. The parallel of Simulanka and Teyvat, and the "fake sky" theory, could be connected by instance or coincidence. The involvement of the three Hexenzirkel witches is a proof that they have something that could affect both worlds (and maybe, Celestia) that will somehow create either chaos and order. 🙁
Another parallel I thought of is that the three Goddesses that created Simulanka or the three Witches are parallel to the three Moon Goddesses.

Honestly, I know a lot of people hated the Dragonspine cold mechanics, but if the possibility of Durin coming back to life means that we get to pursue the storyline of Dragonspine, specifically what relates to Sal Vindagnyr, then I'm all for it.
Because right now, we still have a lot of questions unanswered about that part of the lore: the Princess' ability to see the future, why the Nail fell on the mountain, what happened to the Imunlaukr clan (my money is on Varka actually being a member of the clan), and the fact that the new tree seems to have its own will, and was not only revived using Durin's blood, but the Frostbearer (the fruit it produced, which is a weapon) has this at the end of its description:
"Here, for those who dwelt in my safe shadow, for the priests who eulogized me,
For that lovely maiden who oft painted upon my form,
For all the happiness they could not possess - I enjoin them all into this crimson, icy fruit.
To the one who can render recompense upon this poisonous world shall it go,

Yes, of all place, mondstat & dragonspine is still surrounded with mystery despite being one of first place we explore. In dragonspine we didn't have any 'guides' (unlike other places, lets say enjou-enkanomiya, ruu - tsurumi island, liloupar - sumeru desert, etc), and only rely on journal/texbook.
Plus the Fatui camping there (even when you still in low ar) is kinda suspicious. If you remember, they're appear when we try to extract vitalized dragontooth to create spear. They obviously planning something to durin remnants..
I don't see it becoming a thing until like next year, or beyond 6.0. But it would be nice to see, yeah.
I hate dragonspine cold mechanics but I have always loved the lore and the possibility of durin's revival. This event just confirmed that possibility, and that made me so excited.
I hate the mountain but I will eagerly go back there when the time comes.
Dragonspine Cold bar is 1 of the only few environment factors that makes sense in this game and people hate on it 😂. Genshin players could hate on anything, couldnt they 😂😂😂
It was hated because we did not have many great healers and most likely got stumped early game. Shouldn't be a big deal now.

Fischl actually has a lot of lore related to Khaenriah and the 8 witches
Hexenzirkel witches are being closely tied to Mondstadt because their successor stay in there (Mona, Klee, Albedo) so it's obvious that other mondstadt characters also will be involved, that's just how lore heavy Mondstadt characters are
So even from the beginning (literally from 1.1 where he met Mona and FIschl) Wanderer maybe always destined to have story in Mondstadt with Hexen

Wanderer strikes me as the kind of guy who would slap you very, very hard for saying something offensive to him, even unintentionally. In other words, a colossal mood.
I might be talking nonsense, but is this Summer Event foreshadowing *"the very last or final Summer Event of Genshin?"* Judging from the returning character of previous Summer Event ( Jean, Kaeya, Albedo, Klee, Mona, Fischl, & Collei ) that makes a debut for today story quest ( minus Barbara, Diluc, Razor, Xinyan, Kazuha, Eula, & Kokomi ) in Simulanka. There also a secret room in Simulanka below *"Whispering Isle in Broken Sea"* where we can found a "Choo - Choo Cart of Veluriyam Mirage ( 3.8 ), Oz/Night Raven Statue of Immernachtreich ( Golden Apple Archipelago II, 2.8 ), & Wind-Blessed Harpastum of Golden Apple Archipelago ( 1.6 ) from previous Summer Event" last year & even prior to that. Plus, with a "Tundra Climate" & the "Eternal Freeze" of Snezhnaya that sounds very likely that we would no longer have "Summer Event" again on 5.8 & onwards ( Khaenri'ah & Celestia ).
I felt the same..since with main quest all the side quests were straight up foreshadowing and it was pretty direct. Them bringing up old summer event characters made me emotional and really felt we might not be getting a summer event anymore as the story is getting serious and plot is thickening. Hoyo can make these events if they want to have a leisure period for an update otherwise with so many mysteries of these seven nations to be unfold they need to do it before Kaenriah chapter (since loom of fate is completed, if not 100% guess but to a maximum extent we are going to revive kaenriah in snezhnaya)..Lets hope we meet all these characters in one big fest🙌

The lores and theories born from this summer event is even better than the main story quest of new games that came out this year. Genshin's story telling is really unbeatable. I'm glad there's no skip button.

If Simulanka-Durin ends up having to fight Dragonspine-Durin, I'm worried that Simulanka-Durin might get corrupted by Dragonspine-Durin's blood like Dvalin. Then Hat-Guy will have to calm Simulanka-Durin down and have the Traveler purify him.

There's so much FORESHADOWING in this update!! First was Collei saying that something was happening in Sumeru and now the hinted "Duin resurrection" is coming to Dragonspine?! Question is, are they going to be an interlude quest or will they make it as an event? There's so much lore and hints that my mind might melt from reading it all 🫠
This story has come a long way from freeing a sad dragon 🐲 and fighting a battle maniac plus the ocean 🐋
Theres a sub quest, featuring sumeru characters (Alhaitham, Kaveh, Cyno, etc)
My theory is durin is capitano.
If the genshin trend that special region are short summary of the future archon quest.
Then durins transformation to a small one might indicate that the actual durin (current) is in human form or a smaller being and capitanos design fits the description best.

And considering how Elynas' consciousness still lingered after "death" (he was able to communicate with Melusines when they were just born), it's very much possible Durin's did too. So while his body is incapacitated, his consciousnesses could be possessing something else.
So, although I personally won't subscribe to this theory, it's not implausible
The sumeru one mentioned by Collei is just Kaveh marking up the culprits name in a detective novel.

i just realized what if it wasnt signora or the descenders that wasnt being risen from the dead and it actually might be durin being brought back inside natlan bc the archon quest name is in descent ode of resurrection and what if its not the descenders what if its durin who gets brought back bc dragonspine isnt far from Snezhnaya its in monstadt which is directly under snezhnaya and if the cryo archon gets all the gnosis to generate enough power to bring something back to life and its durin whos being brought back bc his corpse is in the fatui reach it would be hard to get it and bring it back to snez they have agents all over ds so yeah
these are just what ifs not factual it made most sense to me hopefully y’all understand too
