That’s exciting!!! 🎉 is there any way that you can start up your website before you close Etsy? That way you can share your website on thank you card and pull some people over? 💜
Honestly, the only way I make it work is to stay up long after everyone goes to bed. 😭 I also dedicate most of my weekends to my work. I try to be fair to my family and if we want to do something on the weekend, we do it during the day and then the second half of the day is spent working on jewelry, editing, website updating, etc.💜 I also just can't do it "all" like I used to lol, I don't make dinner every night or keep up with cleaning like i'd like to, but everyone pitches in and we do our best. 💜 It’s not easy but doable! 💜
The actual shrinkage amount will vary from things like the wax model, metal thickness, temperature of the flask, etc. If the flask is hot enough so that thermal expansion of the flask is the same as the metal, there will be no shrinkage. Shrinkage is more of an issue with rubber molding and injecting wax since the rubber mold shrinks a bit, the wax shrinks and so on. You have a system that works for you, keep at it and nice work!
Great video. Some very good information and insight. I have a question. When you used a casting service. What did they charge you per gram? For gold and silver. And was there any other fees?
Thank you so much! Every caster is different in what they charge but my caster charged for the silver (I don’t remember cost per gram, it fluctuates all the time), a sprung fee (maybe $4) and then the shipping fee ($8) 🙏🏻
There are a lot of videos that compare platforms but no one is explaining how are taxes being collected for Non-Etsy platforms. Example: If someone from Idaho buys something how is that tax being collected and are you then responsible to pay Idaho the tax you collected? What is that process. This is the main reason I haven’t switched. Not sure if I’m referencing this correctly
i sold one item on etsy and they permanently banned my account because i used the same wifi as someone who had gotten previously banned :-( they still have my money from that item too! thanks for all your information!
It’s better to have your own website, because most of the platforms nowadays, they charge you a fee for posting your stuff on their platforms and at the end of the year, they send you the tax form of your earnings and you have to report it to the IRS. I’m not sure but if you can promote your stuff on the social media, that will be great because you can also post your website. Wish you the best. Have a wonderful day 😊✌️
I have a whole video on how I go started, hopefully it can be a good roadmap for you. 💜 I also have the essential tools listed in my Amazon storefront linked in the description🙏🏻💜
Thank you for the valuable information from the experts. 🤩 I don't know if this will help those watching this video, but we also have a jewelry wholesale market in Korea ^^;
I has hundreds of handmade books refunded around cov-d and another woman requested a refund the same day i confirmed it eas sent by registered post. They didnt even check. I refused to allow them to take the refunded money from my account. The books were in the hands of the buyers.

Definitely don't use Etsy. Sellers are leaving Etsy because they have no customer service, and they are completely dishonest. Be warned, don't use Etsy.
I would appreciate a whole business video about LLC, DBC, EIN, etc..taxes all that! :)
I’ll definitely plan this one for the future 💜💜
I subscribed in order to watch this future video 🙂
I second that. Business specific would be awesome
Im shutting down my etsy this year to open my own website so this video came at the perf time!

Hi! Would it be possible to share how you found your metal caster? xoxo
I’ve got the air do x graver machine on my list from Pepe tools but it ain’t cheap lol
You should do elf ears, that would be totally cute and attract attention!
Did you open up your business before you started buying your tools or after?

I'm not sure if you've mentioned before, but what electric wax pen do you use/where did you buy yours?
the plug in one that is, not the battery operated
I use the Arbe Wax pen! I love it! 💜💜

Don’t wear sandals when you pour hot metals!
Yeaaa, that makes sense. Lol
I'm not photogenic. I'm a 59 year old man who has many missing teeth and a weird voice and am balding... so...
