That Olga story is incorrect. Those were three different stories they’re mixing up. She did use sparrows and pigeons to light a revolting city on fire by tying tiny sacks to their feet and lighting them on fire. When the birds flew back to their nests the nests acted as kindling, igniting the house. For the sauna there was a city state trying to lay claim to Kiev via marriage. Olga saw through this and killed the initial mailmen then sent a message saying she accepted but needed a group of the cities elites to escort her. When they arrived she offered them a rest in the sauna, then locked the door and burned it down. She is a saint btw
OK so they're mixing up two instances of Olga of Kiev's savagery. Basically, this tribe named the Drevlians didn't want to pay taxes, so they killed the king Olga's husband. Then, to secure their powergrab, their leader wanted to marry her and sent some advisors to propse. She asked to honour them by letting them be carried in boats, which they accepted. At the end of the parade, Olga had some trenches dug, in which the diplomats were thrown and burried alive. Olga then sent a letter to the Drevlian leader accepting his proposal only if he sent his top advisors. When they arrived, Olga offered them a bathhouse in which to rest from the journey and subsequently burned the building to the ground with the advisors inside. The thing with the birds happens later after Olga had amassed an army and laid siege to the Drevlian capital for a year. She offered peace in exchange for a tribute consisting of three pigeons and three sparrows from each houshold. To every bird was bound some cloth with a bit of sulphur which was ignited as the birds were released. As they flew home, their nests acted like tinder and the entire city caught on fire simulaniously. PS: Olga of Kiev is also a saint in the Eastern Orthodox Church

The Pepsi bottle with the secret nuke is a reference to when the Soviet Union traded military weaponry and vehicles for more Pepsi. Russians really liked Pepsi ya see. This lead to PepsiCo. having I believe the 6th largest military in the world.
Actually the story about pepsi is a bit false. While yes the Soviets did sell 17 submarines, 1 destroyer, 1 cruiser and a frigate. So they might have been the 6th in terms of numbers of submarines but their actual military didn't exist.

Also, although it's a minor mistake, I have to point out that technically Russian rulers were not officially called Tzars until the reign of Ivan the Terrible, which began in 1547 Secondly, there are two separate stories mixed here. Olga first burned the ambssadors alive in sauna, than besieged Iskorosten - the capital of the rebels who sent her the ambassadors - and, according to the legend, burned the city to the ground using pigeons with burning cloth tied to their legs 25:40 And this is just ridiculous! I just realized that Minecraft builds like this are eternally frozen in time. That one capsized ship is forever stuck pointing to the sky, halfway below the water. That other ships is forever stuck in the middle of being torn apart by a kraken, which itself cannot move. That one Korok is forever stuck precariously clinging to a block. The various churchgoers, employees, and miscellaneous citizens are forever stuck in place, unable to move. Can they still think and feel?
Thre are 3 possibilities: 1: Those are just inanimate soulless sculptures, exhibits for players to look at. 2: They are completely frozen in time, not a bit of matter moves, not a bit of energy transfers, they will start to think when the "time" will start to "flow". 3: Their minds are trapped within their motionless bodies, crying for help but never being heard.

@@thatguyintherain3168 Most likely budget, plus they might not have seen any use for that. The Soviet Union mainly funded projects that could make them compete with the US's military power, that's why the Buran was created, in fear of the military capacity of such a craft. Of course, the US never had any military plans for those projects and when the Soviet Union saw that, they stopped looking to space as much. At least that's what I think, I haven't looked that much into it, but seeing the reason for the Buran's death makes me think that it was something along those lines.
The notion that anyone really won the space race is absurd imo, since every country benefited from the technological developments. But if I had to look at the space race as win or lose senario I'd like to break it up into two parts: the soviets won the "space race" by getting the first man to space, and the US won the "moon race" by getting the first man to the moon.
@@plushthefox I don't know much about before that, but I do know that the Soviet Union also went bankrupt trying to keep up with the US during Reagan's "Star Wars" project. And it honestly doesn't surprise me that Russia was ahead in the space race, but they just couldn't keep it up financially more than likely.

The Pepsi bottle with the secret nuke is a reference to when the Soviet Union traded military weaponry and vehicles for more Pepsi. Russians really liked Pepsi ya see. This lead to PepsiCo. having I believe the 6th largest military in the world.
Yo that's actually really cool
Actually the story about pepsi is a bit false.
While yes the Soviets did sell 17 submarines, 1 destroyer, 1 cruiser and a frigate. They were mostly demilitarised, which means that they can't be used for actual military purpose. So they might have been the 6th in terms of numbers of submarines but their actual military didn't exist.

Although I'm glad my country and its history get appreciated here, I have to call out some major bullshit:
First of all, Russia was in a great economic state in the 15 century and tradition for the Knyaz to pick his wife from the women presented to him is far older than 15 century, dating all the way back to the Ancient Rus. Also, although it's a minor mistake, I have to point out that technically Russian rulers were not officially called Tzars until the reign of Ivan the Terrible, which began in 1547
Secondly, there are two separate stories mixed here. Olga first burned the ambssadors alive in sauna, than besieged Iskorosten - the capital of the rebels who sent her the ambassadors - and, according to the legend, burned the city to the ground using pigeons with burning cloth tied to their legs
25:40

I just realized that Minecraft builds like this are eternally frozen in time.
That one capsized ship is forever stuck pointing to the sky, halfway below the water. That other ships is forever stuck in the middle of being torn apart by a kraken, which itself cannot move. That one Korok is forever stuck precariously clinging to a block. The various churchgoers, employees, and miscellaneous citizens are forever stuck in place, unable to move.
Can they still think and feel?
Thre are 3 possibilities:
1: Those are just inanimate soulless sculptures, exhibits for players to look at.
2: They are completely frozen in time, not a bit of matter moves, not a bit of energy transfers, they will start to think when the "time" will start to "flow".
3: Their minds are trapped within their motionless bodies, crying for help but never being heard.

Fun fact: The Soviet Union won -every space race- most of the space race against the US! Even the Buran, the Soviet copy of the Space Shuttle, was safer and more efficient!
Noice. Why didn’t they make the moon landing though? Genuinely curious.
That was kind of the beginning of the end for the Soviet Union. But that's pretty interesting. I didn't know about the whole Buran thing. And it honestly doesn't surprise me that Russia was ahead in the space race, but they just couldn't keep it up financially more than likely.
