- Very soon into 2024, I was playing TF2 as normal and then I was suddenly thrust into the middle of a trial where both sides would have to argue and figure out whether the creamy penguin was cheating or not. After my very first kill of the match, the trial immediately began. Will the truth be revealed, and will I be Innocent or guilty in the eyes of the public in the matches of Pier and Badwater, or will I be forced to press the reque button...

It is not such an outlandish accusation. Aimbots can be turned on and off with a button press. I have seen it multiple times that the top scoring sniper with stock loadout and lvl 0 steam profile suddenly has terrible aim when being accused of cheating.
Even when after the spawn wall hacks been out for over like 4-5 years people still don’t seem to realize they can see you in disguise

Even with ten hours with spy, you could tell that you will get into a shit ton of crossfires whether you like it or not.
Exactly what happened to this W+M1 on the enemy team once. I was playing on an alt in this occasion which is still 8 years old at this point, but I heard flames behind me so I flick backwards and pop this Pyroid twice with my FaN, killing him. That was all it took for him to call me a cheater (because apparently I snapped perfectly backwards and shot him instantly), and because my alt didn't have many cosmetics and I also was Casual level 1 still for some reason, they all assumed immediately I was cheating and votekicked me.
Won the duel, lost the match.
Won the match but lost the duel.
And thus Balance was restored to the Bean Kingdom
You know whats funnier about all of this. Hes using the Machina the entire time YOU CAN LITERALLY SEE EVERY SHOT HE MISSES ON BOTH TEAMS

he does pretend. they all do, they pretend they're resident cheat experts and cheaters just disable aimbot methodically, applying it to only the accuser. not at all what cheats are programmed to do.
@@skarloeythomas5172I know this kinda undermines your comment but I legit had a scout who for some reason despised me and flipped some switch that made his character randomly 180 meatshot me whenever I walked by him on Hightower. As far as I could tell his guy was totally normal otherwise but I was using a lot of Force a Nature to jump around and escape him and I think it just pissed him off or something.

@@shaunownz14 I feel like it mostly depends on the situation, if someone's life is on the line then yeah innocent until proven guilty, but if it's just a matter of clicking the que for casual button again I think it's better to be safe than sorry

@Fatmagic I used to think like that when I was a kid, and it may simply come from a place of self-percieved superiority, afterall "I'm pretty good at this game, so I shouldn't die *that* fast to some random guy on a server, regardless of what they use, so they must be cheating to match/exceed my skill".
@@Fatmagic Funny thing is, from what I've seen YES a Hacker CAN do that, but from every cheat bar I've seen, you need to navigate a menu. If you have a button to turn it on/off, I've never seen an aimbot like that. Though then again, my only sight of it was once in a GMod server video and Hacked Clients for 2b2t. And the question is, why would a hacker ONLY have aimbot?
@@skullzans I used cheats on anarchy minecraft servers (Wurst + baritone) and you could easily bind toggles on any key you like, there was even a panic button to turn everything off. I wouldn't be surprised if this could be done in tf2 cheat clients as well. Nevertheless, it IS pretty pathetic when people keep whining about cheats even when it's clear that their opponent is just Good™

@@VanessaMagick Now try explaining why I was kicked from Dustbowl Last on Blu by 10 or 11 of my team when I backstabbed a spawncamping dominating Phlog Pyro while having Spy as one of my worst classes. I just used Cloak & Dagger, then stabbed him right after his Phlog Taunt ended, he wasn't invincible anymore. It was fair game.
@@101Volts I can't explain a damn thing. I've been accused of cheating on Pyro far more than I have on Sniper, and that's even with me shooting random corners to headshot Spies out of common cloak spots (with occasional success)

These guys must have short-term memory lost with how they just forgot that you can see if the Sniper is missing or not when they're using the machina
You'd think that downside of the weapon would make it easier for players to tell of someone is a cheater or not, guess TF2 players are build different
@@deringjosuegarcia1531 Like half the enemies in this video just straight up ignore the tracer rounds. Not to mention Tanuki was crying about being shot invisi while walking in front of their entire team coming out of spawn. Some TF2 players are just built lobotomized.
@@darkuscarletTanuki is a prime example of Spies who have bad movement when invisible because even if you are invisible you can’t just waltz in front of your team & expect yourself to not get caught in the crossfire.

AND ON TOP OF ALL HE DOESN'T WAIT FOR ENEMIES TO PASS, clearly that guy doesn't know how to play AND doesn't know about the game's mechanics.

One thing I've learned from playing a lot of sniper, you learn to watch every part of your screen, including what you can only see out of the corner of your eye and people dont realize that is possible, forgetting that wider FoVs are possible. people often also forget headsets exist and that snipers sometimes can actually hear you and might have enough game sense to react to sounds. i swear the bots have just blinded tf2 gamers into thinking that any amount of decent aim or even simple game sense as a sniper is automatically aimbot/wallhacks/cheating as a whole

It's especially dumb proof because a user is free to delete any comments on their profile. A person secretly cheating would just remove the messages...
The Medic in the beginning who acknowledged the lack of a VAC ban, but also the comments, and decided to just keep an eye on Fatmagic had the right idea. If you're suspicious, look for evidence yourself, don't blindly listen to everyone else.

Honestly dude if I was fighting a cracked Machina Sniper with complaints on his profile that stayed completely silent yet taunted everyone that hackusated him, I'd probably think he's cheating, too.
The unfortunate reality of modern TF2 is that closet cheaters and really strong Snipers are easy to confuse, and the only way to realistically defend yourself when you're accused is to act like a decent human being, which many cheaters simply fail to do. Doesn't help when the real cheaters are the ones kicking you, though! :(

The thing with sniper is that most people will not be able to see the shots you miss. Only those you land, and if someone gets headshot 5 times in a row by the same sniper, their ego tends to bruise, despite the 15 shots the sniper might have missed in between

We all get that feelilng sometimes that someone is targeting/focusing us. Seeing what you have to put up with is at a whole nother level. Not just the non stop accusations but the demos and soliders bombing, endless supply of spies etc. You always keep your cool though. A creamy inspiration:)

I expected this to be mostly one-sided drama, but this was actually a really fun adventure! high-stakes crit rocket surprises, amazing damage surfing, super fun chatty dialogues, very silly antagonistic players, even nail-biting duels... this basically had it all.

If they actually respond, presumably in a genuine fashion that isn't just a bind, that's strike 2 that they're not a cheater.
If they're ACTUALLY taking legitimate deaths, like what happened earlier, and actually missing their shots even if they're good, that's, like... strike 2 and a half.

I must confess that I did also believe Magic to be cheating for quite some time. Until I saw Vorobey's video on the matter. And I realised that when watching real cheater rounds compared to Fat's rounds, you can clearly see that what V said about the hit-reg and all of that actually happens with Magic as well. People just never looked at the right frames all along.
