i just drove one. and despite all these advanced new cars i drove, this hilux was the most fun car i’ve driven so far. it had power steering, and had a 5 speed manual with 4x4 option (but base other than that and was probably a gcc spec)
Can’t kill what won’t die. I have the 2.7 liter petrol had it for 7 years still going with no problem at all. All the new ones nowadays are pice of crap compared to old models.
It’s 2023. I wonder where it’s at now and how many Kms it’s done. Probably made lots of memories for the owner. So cool. I’m about to pick up a 2001 SR5, Dual cab, One owner, 213 000 Kms in mint original condition with full service history. Gold Coast, Australia. Can’t wait🙂
I just inherited my father's 2000SR5 manual, 3 litre turbo diesel twin cab in mint condition with 160,000 kilometres. I'm so stoked I can't believe it. I'm going to keep it full original. Maybe a respray, but I'm going to enjoy it as a town runner. Yeah.
