A few things about what you say help. Im a competitive apex player also a pc optimizer and it specialist background, mouse acceleration good to have off but doesn't matter fortnite uses raw input for the sens scal 6/11 is the max u can make it lower especially going on high dpi going lower on that scale help you definitely want to play on 1600dpi if you have a solid mouse sensor, please do not use a optimization app sure it has some good things but a lot of it could make things worse or just be a placebo so dont fully recommend and lastly filter keys no reason to change it fn has raw input so it will only hurt your typing in windows its a placebo.
I use filter keys and it legitimately helps with speed, its not placebo. i have been playing with all kinds of programs and i feel like ISLC and FilterKeys are the only programs that aren't placebo... let me know if you still disagree and maybe im wrong but id feel crazy if my performance increase is strictly placebo. also do you know if there is a trusted way to lower ping?
@@evansass577 islc does work I don't think it can make you better you shouldn't change the timer res on it, filter keys def makes typing faster and easier to mess up but I don't think it actually affects anything in fn like it does in normal windows stuff but I could be wrong not 100% sure, for lowering ping most software stuff doesn't completely work getting like a netduma router or something similar can definitely help ping and some Ethernet cards like the Intel i210-t1 also helps with that.
@@shopzGG I think if you get to a certain edit speed in Fortnite filterkeys helps to be more consistent I don’t really know what else to say. Do I need it? No. But I think it helps. But I don’t think you would notice if you weren’t already going fast enough that your limiting factor is your machine.
@@evansass577 I think filter keys just gives you the illusion that it's faster editing in fortnite still comes down to the same factors. Ping, server tick rate, PC latency, and keyboard actuation. Filter keys won't make any of that faster it just improves the repeat rate and maybe speeds up the windows keyboard delay that's default to prevent accidental clicks but that's soo small of a difference in latency for fortnite it won't help you, what will really help you with editing speed is a faster actuation keyboard like a wooting, better PC, and better ping to the server to lower the variables. You say you think it helps so u don't truly know that seems like a placebo effect. You would also notice a speed in movement and any other key binds not just your editing being faster and ik thats not the case I have tested it in multiple games.
The filterkeys placebo makes me play better tho cuz i think im faster

I dont know what happened or what I did but I loaded up fortnite and my fps got destroyed like it was so terrible I lost so much fps and a ton of stutters came up even in small creative maps

the way it works is the faster you move the mouse the higher it will make your sens,
in turn causing it to be inconsistent, because it is really hard to maintain a consistent flicking speed.😉 ps ever pro has it off!

So I downloaded home and tried some of the optimizations not before I made a restore point and when I tried them in fn it made my game way worse thr it was before and when I went to restore my save point it won’t let me please help me fix this
restart your pc and whilst holding shift and itll take you to this thing and find where it says restore points in there and do it from there and it should work sorry for my bad explanation but its quite easy
uninstall hone and reinstall fn. hone is a horrible software, infact all these " windows optimisation " software are all shit. don't download any random software that messes with windows and the registries. just follow adamx's tutorials and you're good to go.

Wrong , don’t use 8000hz polling rate or even 4000 , mouse dies faster + causes more cpu usage. The max you should go should be 2000 hz but 1000hz is perfectly fine

and fortnite uses more cpu then gpu so running any hertz above 1000 will ruin your frames but if you are playing overwatch then give 4000-8000hz a try its is more gpu based game
@@budgetarms yes the battery dies faster that’s what I meant and it uses cpu usage but 2000 hz doesn’t really use up a lot of cpu usage but you don’t even need anything more than 1000hz all the pros are on 1000hz so that says something .

That has been solved in the latest update, sorry for the inconvenience. It was to basically get a good baseline for optimization, but it was overly aggressive.
