Although I intend to mod a slim 360 following your previous guide, I already have another one I bought pre-modded. I only vaguely remember setting up Aurora and installing all the games, so this is a useful refresher.
An incredible effort to make this clear. Multi disc games I had put off for months as all the channels I usually follow just didn't make this clear fro me, from both months ago and today's attempt. For the record, there's a much newer version of ISO2GOD called "ISO2GOD Reloaded". It's much more up to date compared to the original version and contains bug fixes.
What an excellent guide, I wished I'd utilised the 360MPGui better in the past, I mainly used it to convert to GOD, I didn't consider using the 'extract ISO' feature. This would have saved me a lot of time for multi disc games for DLC. Please keep doing what your doing, your videos are clear, helpful and very much appreciated!
I suspect it is but I've not tried it. You'll probably have to download the files on your PC and use some app to name and file them correctly for import onto the Xbox.
@@dylanschaffer8311 I think 128gb will work. Just make sure to backup ur data from usb before using rufus, beside data you have nothing to lose, you can always reformat it again to ur old format (ntfs exfat etc)

Hey bits what drive do you use to copy your games to because right now I'm using an old one I've had just lying around, and it is slow when copying files.
For the multi disk games you should be able to use the ISO2GOD app to package it up into one GOD package and then just install that. I cover this GOD process towards the end of the video. Glad you're enjoying the content.
The FAT32 format can't support files larger than 4GB. You need to use a splitting application. Usually if you use the GoD package file route the files should fit onto the disk.
If you've formatted it as an FAT32 drive it should get picked up. The SanDisk drives show be compatible. Try a USB stick if you have one to make sure the USB ports are all OK.
I see what you mean, but I think this is one of the standard Xbox formats rather than it being part of the modding. I haven't seen any issues with games so far.
do the raw files + GoD package both need to be installed before running the game? Tried running with the GoD package and the xbox 360 gave me a red ring (hard drive failure E68).
If you've created the god package with iso2god you just need that folder copied into the 0000000000000000 folder for it to work. Not sure why you're getting that error. Maybe try rebuilding the god package.
Unfortunately I have to start with you having already obtained the ISO file or similar. If I show how to download the files I'll get a ban from TH-cam for encouraging a copyright infringement.
Thank you....I am trying to load a game from disc to my hdd1, as per the tutorial, HOWEVER, it is not a 360 game, but an original older xbox game. When I got to the point of 7:37 on your video, it tells me we need to create a path for Aurora to find the game. Where you point us to go into the game folder and find the "default.xex" file, it is not there. I had previously entered data onto my HDD1 so that I can play such older games, and can confirm that this does work. As such, should I have tried to paste the game I am trying to copy to HDD1 into a different location, so that the "default.xex file would appear, or has something gone wrong for me? Your assistance would be appreciated. Thank you.
You need some extra setting up to be able to play original XBox games. I haven't yet made that video, but there are others in TH-cam. It's on my ever expanding ToDo list!
i have some of the ISO backups and used ISO2GOD to extract them to be able to run them through the aurora dashboard . however, some of the games are giving me black screen. appreciate any help and thanks in advance
I tchecked everywherre for mods, the lcosest i foun was to format the ssd or hd on the console t instead of using ISO GOD, i found a better way by using power ISO to extract the xbox files, but do i need to hasardmod the conso;l even ig I used a Ppower ISOand formatted the XBOX Xbox HDD, simply by fomatting the drive with rufus.
The internal drive needs to be formatted in the console as it gets tied to the console during the formatting process. To be able to play these games, or even to move the files around, you will need to mod the Xbox.
I should have done my research that the xbox360 can only support up to 2TB. However my WD 3TB works just fine, just need to backup all of my data to my new 8TB external that I supposedly bought for the Xbox360 lol. You plug in a 4TB+ you wont even get the option to format it on the console, but my 3TB did. Wanted to clear the confusion thats been plaguing the net for decades.

I got the ISO file for it which is about 7 GB in size but using any ISO extractor I only get a game folder that is about 2 GB large... Besides that, if I copy the game files to the Xbox 360 (plain game folder or GOD format) the game shows up but when I try to run it it's a limited demo version only. Obviously I'm doing something wrong but I can't figure out how to correctly install it. Any advice would be helpful!
I'd try downloading an iso from a different source. The iso file can sometimes be padded to the full dvd storage space so although it's 7GB download there's only 2GB of actual data which is what you seem to be getting.

Yes both install the game and allow you to apply title updates. I prefer GoD as it packages everything up very neatly and I don't really use file mods.

In my setup guide a advise you to block access to Microsoft Live so you don't get your account blocked. Some people use stealth servers to fake access but I'm not so sure about those. You can generally find the Xbox live game install files on the web but I'd avoid the online gameplay.

Have you tried packing it up as a GoD package and transferring that? FAT32 is limited to 4GB max per file. There are some apps that will break the files down for transfer. Have a look online.
Download your ISO file on your phone then use a pc with 7z to extract. See if your phone has a "more" option, you can extract if you have enough storage space.
So far so good. Did the GOD thing, i have the game on Content, i have the Game with the Picture but when i wanna play it.. Crash and Aurora starts again. I have no idea what i could have made wrong. Did you put the God folders in the 00000000000000 folder. They need to go on there. You then need to add this folder to your aurora path. That should be covered in this video of look near the end of the hack installation video.

I'm not sure. The XBox does some funny stuff on the hard drive to lock it to the specific XBox and I don't know if RGH blocks this. I don;t know for sure but there might be a risk of overwriting some important info. Please have a look around for someone who knows.
Yes you can, but you need FATXplorer to do it. It's a $25 one time fee, but you get many free trials before having to pay. It's worth the money after all the good things the dev has done for the modding community

Once you've got the mod installed and working they should work the same. Make sure you install XEXmenu and Dashlaunch. These should allow you to format any hard drive. I only really used Aurora as it seems to do everything I need it to.

The install process ends up making a couple of copies of the game so it does use some space. I tend to build the GOD package on my PC hard drive and just copy over the end result.

Check out my RGH installation video. After the hack I set it up and block Microsoft Live access. Once that setting is turned on you can connect to the Internet and use it safely.

It might be the main game folder name. If the name is too long or contains special characters it can cause issues. Try renaming it to under 40 characters and remove the special characters.

Every time I add a new game it doesn’t show up until I turn my Xbox off and then back on after a few minutes. What would be causing this? Someone modded it for me and it took them 2 months to send it back to me
I'm not sure if one is better than the other, but I tend to use GOD. If you want to use game mods you'll need to extract the file and copy those over so you can mod them.
the 360 mpgui link you listed sets off my antivirus and says it is an occamy trojan. is this a false positive because that is not something i want to have on my computer.
When I used the link a while ago it was fine with my virus protection. As a general rule I advise you to trust your protection software. You can download the code from other places, or try to find an md5 checksum verified download. Sorry but although it may be a false positive I can't guarantee it.
I'm not sure what to do if it insists on being signed in to Xbox Live. Are you using the right version of the game. Some have a single player mode and a multiplayer online mode. With the hack in place the online version is sort of out of bounds. I think there are ways around it with stealth servers etc. but not one I would recommend.

It is a bit complicated but once you get the process worked out it's doing the same thing over and over for each game. I do all my games using the GoD package method.

It sounds like your internet security software is getting in the way. Usually they put the file into quarantine so if you can find it in there you should be able to restore it.

Is this in the image browser? Just follow the steps in the video. Make sure you're using the same apps as me. You shouldn't need to select an iso file outside of the apps. When you load an iso into the browser app it may show you the contents of the dvd image. Don't worry about that. Just follow the video to extract the files. Hope this helps.

Yes, sort of. You can use a stealth server which some people love. I personally don't use them. But have a look online for a tutorial. It's not something I intend to cover.

I use an ssd drive with a SATA to USB adapter. Great for PC to SSD. SSD to XBox is still a bit slow.

I'd try a different download of the games to see if that helps. If ISO2GOD is able to identify and process the file it should be OK.

Sir I have a question. How does this exactly work on Xexmenu 1.2? Do I need to put both of the disc in 0000000? Bcz this is where I put my games on.
Make sure to follow the instructions in the video. It should show you where to put everything.

If you have a modded 360, you can flash an image to support more than that. I believe the limit is 16 TB

Is this for all games? Try using the Iso2GOD method. I find that the most reliable for packaging up the game files correctly.
So overall there is no difference between GOD and /Games unless you are copying/modding... Which do you prefer?

You need to include the applications folder in your Aurora paths setttings.

You need an app that will extract the contents of the ISO file. If you can find one for Android then you're good to go.
Download your ISO file on your phone then use a pc with 7z to extract. See if your phone has a "more" option, you can extract if you have enough storage space.
So far so good. Did the GOD thing, i have the game on Content, i have the Game with the Picture but when i wanna play it.. Crash and Aurora starts again. I have no idea what i could have made wrong. Did you put the God folders in the 00000000000000 folder. They need to go on there. You then need to add this folder to your aurora path. That should be covered in this video of look near the end of the hack installation video.
Could I bypass the copy to flash drive then copy to HDD process by connecting my HDD directly to my pc and extracting the ISO's directly to the hard drive?
I'm not sure. The XBox does some funny stuff on the hard drive to lock it to the specific XBox and I don't know if RGH blocks this. I don;t know for sure but there might be a risk of overwriting some important info. Please have a look around for someone who knows.
Yes you can, but you need FATXplorer to do it. It's a $25 one time fee, but you get many free trials before having to pay. It's worth the money after all the good things the dev has done for the modding community

I find FTP is great over ethernet, a pain over WiFi so a transfer drive works best for me.

Once you've got the mod installed and working they should work the same. Make sure you install XEXmenu and Dashlaunch. These should allow you to format any hard drive. I only really used Aurora as it seems to do everything I need it to.

The install process ends up making a couple of copies of the game so it does use some space. I tend to build the GOD package on my PC hard drive and just copy over the end result.
I believe that means it’s not formatted right , from what I’ve been told your USB needs to be FAT32 formatted

Check out my RGH installation video. After the hack I set it up and block Microsoft Live access. Once that setting is turned on you can connect to the Internet and use it safely.

It might be the main game folder name. If the name is too long or contains special characters it can cause issues. Try renaming it to under 40 characters and remove the special characters.

The system does need to run a scan for the new games. There's usually an option in the menus for that, or a system reset will work.

I tend to keep my games archived as iso files and only convert to GoD when adding to the console.

I'm not sure if one is better than the other, but I tend to use GOD. If you want to use game mods you'll need to extract the file and copy those over so you can mod them.
the 360 mpgui link you listed sets off my antivirus and says it is an occamy trojan. is this a false positive because that is not something i want to have on my computer.
When I used the link a while ago it was fine with my virus protection. As a general rule I advise you to trust your protection software. You can download the code from other places, or try to find an md5 checksum verified download. Sorry but although it may be a false positive I can't guarantee it.

I'm not sure what to do if it insists on being signed in to Xbox Live. Are you using the right version of the game. Some have a single player mode and a multiplayer online mode. With the hack in place the online version is sort of out of bounds. I think there are ways around it with stealth servers etc. but not one I would recommend.

If you're using Wii Backup Manager it should split the file for you into two chunks. If you're on a Mac you'll need an app like Witgui.

I'm not sure why it's reporting as full. If you remove another game will it let it install? You might then be able to put the removed game back on.

No. You need to turn off the connection to Microsoft Live.

You can still play all the games offline, and title updates are available through the homebrew system.

It is a bit complicated but once you get the process worked out it's doing the same thing over and over for each game. I do all my games using the GoD package method.

It sounds like your internet security software is getting in the way. Usually they put the file into quarantine so if you can find it in there you should be able to restore it.

For me GoD iso file only worked when in hdd1/games and not in content/0000000000000000 map😮
That's odd. Make sure you've got the folder name correct and have set it as a path in Aurora. Check my main RGH3 mod video.

Is this in the image browser? Just follow the steps in the video. Make sure you're using the same apps as me. You shouldn't need to select an iso file outside of the apps. When you load an iso into the browser app it may show you the contents of the dvd image. Don't worry about that. Just follow the video to extract the files. Hope this helps.

Yes, sort of. You can use a stealth server which some people love. I personally don't use them. But have a look online for a tutorial. It's not something I intend to cover.

The GoD and disk packages are lots of smaller files that add up to 7GB rather than any single big file.
