Mawlynnong - Is it really Asia's Cleanest 'Village'? Tyrna - Sohbar to Dawki - Day 9

Day 8 : Walking down back to bike was another tough 2 hour trek. Bike was safe at the parking and collected the luggage from one of the house in the village where I kept my bags, helmet, gears etc.
Next in my list was Dawki. Lot of people suggested this place. I was already getting irritated due to the number of tourists at each place so thought the new route suggested by Phillip. This was bit tricky since its not there on maps. Had to go to a village called Sohbar and from there to take the offroad that goes via Nongjri to Pynursla. One of the tough part here is to find a proper breakfast. After searching for couple of hours, I was able to find this breakfast which is just plain rice and a fried fish piece!
The road was pretty bad and I thought my bike parts will keep falling off but luckily nothing happened. Thanks to Himalayan. I was glad I didn't bring my duke here 😄
Reached Dawki by night, went further until Shnongpdeng. Any place you enter and if the people come running to you for rooms then take it from me that its spoiled by tourists. I lost interest in Meghalaya by then but had no choice but to stay the night in Shnongpdeng.
This is few pics I took on the way.Oh yeah by the way I did visit Asias cleanest village Mawlynnong . It was more like a museum than a village! I would rather choose a Mowsmai village than this since Mowsmai was a quiet but also clean 'village' village.
