More than a beginer bike it's for someone that decided to downsize, a friend had bougth one having a liter bike to use it as an everiday ride. And in his words is much cheaper to run than the liter bike.

Own the CF Moto 450ss and I think its a great bike, kids love it, turns heads, aftermarket exhaust really brings this thing to life. Maintenance is easy and parts are pretty easy to find in my opinion. Team CF baby. But I was looking at the 457 before buying this, dealerships ruined the buying experience when it came to those bikes. Temecula Motorsports in socal made it easy to buy a 450ss.

Some countries has specific requirement for the gap between 2 turn indicators, and if there is any other lighting in close proximity. If you look at a bike and see their indicator looks out of place, that's the reason

We can flash to the EU spec and turn on the integrated blinkers, in the US DOT spec they have to be a specific distance from each other

I'm a 2022 RS 660 owner and I got the chance to test ride the 457 and it's a really good bike. I just don't understand how to justify that amount of money, if you want a premium sport bike you can find an used RS 660 for a bit more, if you want a beginner bike there are cheaper bike with similar riding experience.
I live in Rome and a couple of days ago I brought my 660 for scheduled maintenance and there where quite a few 457, the owners were all young kids without any riding gear, with the bike full of stickers and chicken strips that made me think that those bikes never crossed the city limit.
It seems to me that's a bike for those who want to impress without being too involved into morcycling, at least in my region, in some asian country it's probably the perfect premium bike and it's the equivalent of a 660 in europe or in the us in terms of desirability, road riding etc.
The bike itself it's amazing, super easy and enjoyable to ride but the price put's it outside the beginner bike category.

Serious comment and question, but it’s a bike like this that makes me wonder WHY hasn’t Suzuki made a 400cc GXSR bike by now??? They did make one back in the 90’s but it was only made for Japanese audiences. I would also like Moto Guzzi to setup up their game and make a 500cc competitor as well. Shift their 850cc V7 class to 80hp.

Who is it for? Its for European sportbike riders, that started on a 125 and are not the typical "beginners", they have 2-3years of riding experience, so the 457 is the perfect step up to have some more fun, but not at a rs660 price.

I think I'm happy with my 8R. Although I haven't got to ride it in about a month now thanks to it being in the shop after being side swiped by a car. But I started on a Ninja 400, tried switching to a older man friendly Eliminator. I'm 40, thought it'd be more fitting for me, it wasn't. Then after a few months I traded to a Suzuki 8R. Seems like a good blend but like everyone, wish it had cruise control. Has electronic throttle - just give it cruise control, or at least throttle lock! SOMETHING! I really like Aprilia bikes, and glad to see them no longer being the greatest hits of everyone elses bikes, but reliability is a thing for me. I don't want know why Italians struggle with electronics so much, but they do.

We definitely exist. =) Purchases are done based on perceived value, not on what people can afford. I'd rather get the 450ss, over the RS457. That being said, I'd never get either as the RS660 is the only option if comparing Aprilia and CFMoto. Again, price isn't the issue, it's value for dollar. If you're in the sub 600 range, you can't go wrong with the 450ss/r, or even the NK. Myself, I don't want to redline a bike to ride on the highway.. *issue with sub 600 bikes*

The CFMoto digs continue. Your words: The CFMoto 450SS is made in China and that might be a problem for you. Why not tell people the Aprilia RS457 is made in India at a Vespa scooter plant because that equally could be a problem. Also, if you try to find aftermarket support parts, they are on Ebay from China an Italy. Side note Nice Arrow Dark Titanium exhaust for $1263.00 plus shipping. Same issues about after-market support you always mention if you have the 450SS but not here with this video about the Aprilia.

    • @antoniomargallo5317

Well, the Enfields, Triumph 400s, and the Aprilia 457s now all are made in India and I haven't come across displeased international clients/riders with these machines as much as I have with Chinese bikes. Compared to these three, only Chinese company that really makes any sense is CFMoto probably... So your perception of Indian manufacturing being worse than Chinese manufacturing is flawed to say the least.

And just so you don't express you own idea where the 675 engine come from like Yammie did in another video, here is the facts. The 675 is the 450 engine with another cylinder added. Same bore and stroke. Both engines are in house designs and patents have been applied for. Just so you know the 500SR Voom engine is another inhouse design that has had its patent applied for also. This will help you not have to explain your no R&D issue with that engine before you come into the comments with that false narrative again. I'm not recommending since you are getting only cons, not pros; the 47-hp restriction plus weight of a bigger bike makes the bike like the MT07 and hornet 750 A2 really slugish and slow. I did test bikes like the R3, Ninja 400, and CBR500R pulling compared to the A2 MT07 and hornet 750, and smaller bikes were actually faster off the line and had higher top speed.
The only real pro is that you can remove the restriction after you get the license, but by that time you would want to experience a different bike.

A good portion of my appreciation of the bike is that it handles so well and is easy to ride fast. About a month ago I tested a RC390 as a potential track bike. Honestly it felt like a moped in comparison.

@@samanthagregoryurich4167 It makes a lot of sense. Thing is RS660 in my country is so expensive it's close to a Panigale V2 price. I can afford it but I'd want to get the V2 for that kind of money. Performance + It's just looks amazing, not sure if 45bhp to 155bhp is too much. It's going to be primarily track day toy for me.

@RahulKumar-up9fb Wow that's nuts...the V2 does happen to be my dream bike but costs 30% more here. From what I have heard, the newer ones are pretty easy to ride...just be careful with that warp drive!

I ridden both the ZX4R base model, not the RR and RS 457, and I have to say the ZX4R is so much better. Power-wise, it's significantly noticeable, silky smooth, and easy to manage all up to the top end. I did a few pulls with my buddies on the Hornet 750, r7, and ZX4R, and they actually were faster; they get faster out of the line, but after 10k rpm hits, it catches up and passes them and has higher top speed as well. Compared to the RS457, the ZX4R is faster from any rpm pull, and the ZX4R has a smoother gearbox,
In terms of ergonomics, they are about the same; both have a higher clip-on position, which you find on beginner's friendly sport bikes, and it's pretty comportable, and I'm a 6.4 and 230 lbs rider.
I litterally see no reaon other than bugdet which aprilia is not the cheapest anyway to pick rs457 over zx4rr, thr zx4rr is obkectively a much better and more capable bike in anyway.
