  • This is a 2-hour bullet chess tournament (Lichess Titled Arena July 2020) I provided commentary on. I followed the games of World Chess Champion Magnus Carlsen, who played under the account "DrNykterstein" for this event. I streamed the tournament at twitch.tv/ChessNetwork. Lichess Titled Arena July 2020 is held for titled chess players only, namely Grandmasters, International Masters, FIDE Masters, National Masters etc... Its $1,250 prize pool goes to the top 5 players, with 1st - $750, 2nd - $250, 3rd - $125, 4th - $75, and 5th - $50. This tournament began on July 25th, 2020 at 3:00 PM EST.

Yes, even we the fellow regular followers also feel that he is busy in something more important and we miss the recent titled arena (both bullet and blitz arena) commentary.
I hope Jerry is reading this and know that his subs love to hear him during this fast pace events and he should somehow find some time (if that's not a problem).
Bring the OG commentary back again. Like this so Jerry know it.

I want somebody to make a version of these tournaments with video played half speed. The audio would still need to be normal speed, the wave form chopped up and spaced out so it still syncs with the video. We'd get the same quality of commentary but the chess games would be slower and easier to follow.

Whute goes F3. If pawn will take tge knight, white takes with the bishop and it’s a skewer, no way to defend the bishop. So there is no point. Knight can reallocate, because there is no mate on G2

    • @jackismname

Its not a fluke if its over 6 months. If hés been good for 6 months and bad for 2 weeks, its more likely being bad is a fluke. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t like the kid as much as the next guy because of his poor sportsmanship, but hés just a kid. You can’t expect 16 year olds to be polite from the get go, they have to learn! But I feel like Magnus Carlsen is a much more likeable person, and as such everyone is shitting on Alirezàs performance, without mentioning Carlsen’s performances in the two previous titled arena tourneys.
