I have R5 3600 OC to 4.35. Honestly, CPU is not an issue for me. Game definitely isnt optimised well for hyperthreading and high core CPU's tho. I never go above 40-50% on CPU.
It's definitely more GPU bound. I can be sitting at 60% gpu usage, but then zooming in on certain maps or lots of particle effects. Will shoot it up to 100.

R 5 3600,3070ti,16gb 3200ram, 2tb ssd I only get 50-70 FPS with optimized settings and on epic settings idk what the issue is. I play 1440p. I used to get 90-100fps with my 5600xt on high settings. The 3070ti has been below 40% usage with every game I play and is performing terribly. CPU usage never goes above 50%-60% so it’s not a bottleneck.

Go into your BIOS and enable XMP, solved the issues for me. Got 20-30 more fps.
CPU ore RAM limit. Not GPU limit 100 player karge maps. ITS CPU intense.
@@faksoy31 same here with my i5 12400f and rtx 3060 ti. Some maps i get like 25 fps.
This really helped my performance on the new maps. I'm running a 1080ti @ 3440 x 1440 and I went from 50-70 fps on Anvil to over 80 in the same location. Game looks about the same too, which is a plus.
what cpu? im running a 1660super and a i5 9400k and it doesnt get past 60fps and there are constant fps drops

How you got 50-70 fps, seems its not real. I have 45-60 on RX 6600 XT that is better in games

@@affe.ohnewaffe hm, i have Ryzen 7 4800H, it's a laptop CPU, so i'm playing with a CPU boost so i have 4000-4300MHz 8 cores but still sometimes i have like 60 fps, and very often it gets to 30-40 FPS and even freezes sometimes.
Update regarding this, windows 11 new featured of optimization for windowed games is a must have, however it requires a GPU that handles DirectX12. This feature though supports other types of DirectXs, so basically it benefits people who run this on windowed and even other games. A must have
Dude. This helped me out so much even in 2023! The only setting that was added since then that I would recommend is to put "Ocean Quality" on low. Other than that, I'm getting 144 FPS and it's CLEAN!!!

4:32 it's never a good idea to cap your fps to your monitor's refresh rate, due to frametime capping your fps will feel way worse than having 30 more fps.

Sir, my laptop has GeForce 920mx, Pentium n4200, and 4GB of RAM (don't know what kind, built-in), and a Ramsta SSD. Can it run at around 25/30 fps, at least that would be playable, I want to try the game out after the update, I have been a Project Reality inf for quite some time now

It seems to change from update to update, sometimes my 2060 SCU runs it great and then they’ll update Squad and it runs terrible. Even my buddies $6k system does the same

I play Squad in medium graphic setting. I have terrible FPS drop (35 - 55 fps)
When I see the RAM ,CPU and GPU activity percentage in the windows Task manager at the same time , RAM works between 80 and 85 percent (Gskill 16 GB - 3000 Mhz)
GPU works between 40 and 55 percent (RTX 2060 6GB)
CPU works between 50 and 75 percent (Intel 12100F)
Why when Ram,Cpu and GPU have not reached its maximum power , i have fps drop ?

One more moment i discovered for AMD users. If you are using Adrenalin soft switch off the Anti-lag bar that working automatically in Game mode. As for my drops of FPS they were bcs this thing
SQUAD is the only game, that performs similarly shitty on both presets - the lowest and the highest on all of my machines, including high-end ones. Great job, devs, you did impress me here.
I5-3470 + 675MX = 42-60 (drops to 25)
i7-7750H + 2060 = 45-65 (drops to 30)
Ryzen 7 5800H + 3070 = 47-70 (drops to 35)
idk how they've actually managed to do this bad, considering that it was "OK" three-four years ago. But they're seem not worring too much about it, since they're working on Postscriptum and developing a secret game at the same time. Guess, they do deserve to go into Oblivion after all.

@@AmishMinister Nah, basically still the same between Squad’s 50 vs 50 and BF2042’s 64 vs 64. Both need top-of-the-line CPUs to accomplish consistent 60fps, unless you were talking about 2042’s 32 vs 32 lobbies.
@@SuPaKidge no, i'm saying over the period both have been out, the optimization on squad has gone down, and 2042's has gone up.
I got 40 fps no matter what settings in 2042 the week or two of launch. now I get consistent 60 fps, even in high battles, on all high.
Squad's has deteriorated over the years, along with forcing Temporal AA. Never dipped below 50's in squad's full matches, and now i consistently do.

My game actually runs far smoother on graphics set to max or near max then when I reduce the graphics settings. Very weird.
I would guess it is because your hardware gets more stressed so your rig runs more performatic

One question I had; if I want to use AMD super resolution should I set the game resolution to my monitor’s res and then use the resolution slider to lower it? Or should I set the actual resolution lower and leave the resolution downscale setting in-game at 100%?

You know its bad when i need to look at videos like this with powercool rx6900xt red devil...
It's also possible to turn "Contact Shadows" off if you switch to something higher than "Low" on Shadows. Once you disable it, you can go back to "Low" again. It does change the way game looks, but I'm not quite sure about the FPS improvement.

i have rx7900xtx and ryzen 9 7900x 3d and only get 100-120 fps with ultra settings on 1080p, i expected way more which such powerful build

fov above 90 will "zoom out" and you won't see much that's further away!
Did all of the window settings, running a 8700k with a 3060ti and the lowest I get is 49 because of firefights on some maps :/

thanks man squad crashed for me when i wanted to spawn and the game only ran under 30 fps. now the game runs smoothly over 40 fps

1. Ram is far too little 16GB at 4200mhz is generally acceptable.
2. CPU itself and the CPU Clock is laughable for squad. At least 3.7+ghz

Textures can be ultra though since it doesnt really effect performance if you have alot of vram
I have GTX 1060 - i7 950 - 24GB's of DDR3 ram - no ssd. Still I cant get +30 fps, I always play on 15-20 fps rate. And when I get in a gunfight, it goes down below 15. How tf can I fix that?
