I think I got this game on Steam for $5... I know it isn't fair to compare an older Steam release to a Switch port, but come on! $40 when it's a fraction of the price elsewhere is rediculous
It will quickly come down in price with deals etc but they have updated it all to work on a console on top of new HD features or 4k ones on other consoles. I think guys on the PC got them for free if you owned it but i dunno.
You probably got it on sale before the anniversary edition came out. $40 is still significantly higher than the current AE price, but $5 is not a completely fair comparison.
I can't help but feel some Switch games are getting a bit fucked over from physical releases. As some of these games could afford to be lower in pricing, but North American retailers would refuse to stock physical copies if the digital version is priced better at launch. And the physical has to be higher because not only do the third party retailers have to get paid, but also because the cartridges have a fair bit more of production cost.
My wife currently isn’t a gamer and she asked if the Switch has a diablo type of game, so I’ll be picking this up so we can both play together. Super happy there’s a split screen mode.
I am so ready to buy this game but the issue with the other console ports were the gamebreaking glitches of losing saves and being unable to pick up items, etc. Can you please let us know if you experience any of these? Upvote so he can see!!
It doesn't seem to be well known but this isn't the original release. This is the anniversary edition that got a huge amount of updates to the original (owners of the original on steam got upgraded to the new edition for free)
Never knew this game existed until I bought it at Walmart for $20. I haven't been fully engrossed in a game for a while... *No wonder,* it's from 2006. Modern day gaming is hollow!
When I watched the game play from a different video I kept thinking of Baldur's Gate, Champions of Norrath, and even Sacred 2. I'M ALL IN ON THAT KIND OF EXPERIENCE. Thanks for sharing your thoughts Spawn.
Baldur's gate and champions of norrath? If i could get both 1 and 2 of baldurs and 1 and 2 of champions of norrath on the switch, I'd pay 100 bucks for all 4. Idc. If they esp have online support for multiplayer
@@Zypharion777 Agreed! Titan Quest is not bad. Controls for standard attacks is a bit wacky, the rest is pretty good. The character builds are very deep with many skill trees to pull from. Best part imo.
Martin Sørensen the game looks good, I just don't think it should be 40, especially when Xbox charging 10 dollars less Portability factor I know, but still
Same price as PS4 and Xbox One when they released 60 days ago or so. And $40 is a good price for a console release. A really fair price. You're not gonna see games released for much less than that. Decade old games get re-released and ported to consoles all the time. $40 is fair market value on consoles. If you want it for less, wait for a sale or buy on a platform it's already on. Tired of people complaining PC games ported to console cost more than $5-10
That's all they seem to do. I work at a grocery store and I get customers that be like, "Why is this item so expensive, I can go to another store and get it cheaper"........ and I'm like...... WELL Go there then !
No matter how shit/old the game elsewhere once it's on Nintendo that automatically makes it great. Don't question it jus buy it. Isn't that how it works?
It's One Plus 5 it cost me around 500 euro. I am pretty sure that Switch have better graphics processor. I don't think that my phone would run for example Mario Odyssey in 60fps... Titan Quest for Switch is just lazy port.
Big fan of Titan Quest! played it back in the day, and have come back to it multiple times, I already pre ordered it on the Switch, only console I'd consider purchasing it on. I got my original disc copy of it and awhile back I got it on Steam, so this is my 3rd time buying it.
@Spawn Wave if you hold A + B around loot on the ground it will bring up a menu of all the loot that you can pick from, so you only pick up what you want. I just found that out today, hope you see this or it helps.
I really like the style of your reviews, discussing while playing the game, giving us your thoughts and honest opinion. I prefer this style over the traditional way with a score at the end and such.
Don't let it fool you the game starts out slow but it ramps up speed as you progress, It can get as fast as Diablo 3 depending of the spec of your character and game speed
I've heard great things about this game. Nice to see these PC exclusives migrate over to consoles. I skipped this on PS4/X1 knowing it was coming to Switch, to get the first ever handheld version alongside being a console version. Just waiting to hear how it ran- looks great! Gonna preorder now. Wish I hadn't cancelled my earlier preorder- had it locked in at $23 from Amazon
Jaxon Holden I pre-ordered and locked in at that price. I did not cancel so I'm glad about that now. 40 is a little too high. 30 would've been about right for the game
Thank you for giving the game a decent review, I looked up reviews while in the store and they all knocked the game but decided to take a chance then watched this which made me feel so much better
Titan Quest is one of my all time favorites. But charging more for Switch pisses me off. I won't be buying it unless it's on deep discount sometime. Not going to support price gouging. Even 29.99 like on xbox is too much
Classic Modern Gaming he specifically said "Not going to support price gouging" and im with him.. im guessing that andrew, like me, alredy have it for pc so.. its also one of my fav games but im not gonna get it for switch for that price..
Classic Modern Gaming its $40. and for a game that came out a decade ago IS gouging. I don't mind paying a second or third time for TQ, but not that much. It's not like they added a bunch of new DLC. It's the same game as 2006.
Andrew Wabisabi383 That's cool man. It's your money. I've never had the pleasure of playing it and all my friends are on console so I don't mind the price. Then again I don't care how old the game is. If a game is well made and I can have a really good time, then it's most likely worth the cost. Plenty of newly released $60 games are not worth the price if you get what I mean.
On steam the game cost 20$ (only digital) On xone/ps4 cost 30$ (and the port sucks too for a console like that) On switch 40$ because nintendo want more money on the development (but the price never go down for a good fucking reason).
