The breaking news looked like it was recorded in Cairo or Israel. The day this started happening the media didn't selectively avoid recording the nonstudents. Hypothetically if it was 35000 americans that died in the middle east and another million americans was at risk of being slaughtered and americans were protesting like these people are doing to raise awareness to the seriousness of loss of life starvation and displacement from countless homes destroyed would people act differently if the situation was reversed. The same goes for ukraine when all those protests was going on. Its hypocritical to say one thing discriminating for one scenario and think the opposite of another. People comment without the whole story behind what is actually happening in the world. Don't believe everything you see in the news. Government is moderating the internet using political pressures on the media just like they did in ukraine. The US is riding a fine line from whats right and whats wrong on how things are playing out. Misinformation is how things escalate and the most harm i have seen so far is from the police.

I'm from China and witnessed the student movement and government crackdowns in 1989. I stand with students everywhere and all the time. This is such an overreaction from the US police.
Not an overreaction if classes are disrupted, buildings and roads barricaded and damage to public property being done. I don’t have any issue with people protesting peacefully but if it turns violent or destructive then what?
