If you try to ninja defuse smoking the bomb you're more likely to be dead. I've learned that it's better to throw the smoke to one of the entrances to the site, so enemies may be warned about that entrance and will not pay you attention
I encountered them quite a bit, slide across their path unnoticed, then hipfire their backs. Since I know a few patterns of rusher and campers makes it easier to counter and confuse enemies
I throw sticky grenades and Stun Grenades into smoke and fire through the smoke with the mini gun. As a sniper hunter I also use the silent while walking perk. Then I walk straight up the sniper from behind and one shot head shot. Lol
Also, smoke grenade don't always work, I use sniper and if you pay attention when they throw it you know where they go and can still snipe them through the smoke, I get a lot of people like that

Flashbang works to a degree. It will only blind those who were looking in its direction by the time it goes off. For someone like a peaking Sniper, they might not even be affected by it since they went behind cover when it went off.
