You'll learn about Japanese phonetics, such as pronunciation, rhythm, pitch accent, intonation and so on. Those knowledge will help you sound natural when speaking Japanese.
Hi, Welcome to Speak Japanese Naturally. I'm Fumi.
Can you introduce yourself in Japanese?
With this 5-minute lesson, you'll be able to introduce yourself with 3 sentences with proper pitch accent!
0:13 three sentences
0:22 はじめまして
0:29 Hajimemashite pitch
1:00 わたしは〜です。
1:46 Name pitch
2:56 よろしくおねがいします。
3:25 Yoroshikuonegaishimasu pitch
Japanese is a pitch accent language, so it's important to imitate the pitch to sound natural.
Practice pitch and sound natural with me!

Her soft voice makes me want to study japanese more
😊😊😊
I’m so glad to hear that 🥰🥰
Yes
Her voice is so soft and polite .
I really feel the same! It's soothing and gentle.
Yes
Your voice's so clear.
Thank you for a delightful lesson. Duolingo teaches me Japanese, but its "cartoon" characters speak with non-Japanese accents. So, I'm happy to hear a real Japanese one from such a pleasant teacher,.
so easy when it explains naturally
😄✨
Your teaching style is very casual, unlike a classroom-type setting. I think your approach makes it more comfortable for new learners. It feels more like a discussion than a lesson.
While I am more interested in reading Japanese than speaking it, I'm happy to subscribe to your channel.
Thank you for your kind words and for subscribing to my channel!😊😊
Amazing explanation! I also like it that she doesn't pronounce it too slow just for the sake of our understanding. That's exactly why I came to TH-cam, because I wanted to hear the natural pronunciation 😁
Good to know that! Thank you 😁
Yes
I'm only 11 and learning a diff language she has a soft tone and clearly explains the topic and how to use sentences this is an amazing video very helpfull

Your voice is so smooth! I really like this video, thank you
Oh, I’m flattered. Thank you 🥰
Six month ago I started studying Japanese just for fun and it became a hobby, now I practice almost everyday. I'm aware I'll never be 100% fluent but I'll fo my best. I'm bilingual (english, español) and now at almost 55 learning japanese is my new hobby. Nihongo daisukidesu ❤❤❤ Domo Arigato Gozaimasu Sensei😊

I feel at ease with how you show and tell how to say and do... your breakdown and inflections help immensely. I am conscious yet less conscientious about verbalizing the words and phrases. Thank you for reaching me, today. Nothing happens by accident. :)))
Thank you for the comment.
I’m glad what I did was be of some help.
I agree that nothing happens by accident. When you do something seriously, some help is given..:)

This is so interesting to me. I worked in a traditional Japanese restaurant for years and the workers’ English was flawless in addition to the pitch. I guess it’s a Japanese thing. So impressive

It’s really cool that the physical way you speak your surname in Japanese a certain way, I feel like in America if it sounds remotely close it’s a pass for people

Thank you for the lessons, Please have the music a little softer in the background please.
My new videos don’t have music. Sorry about old ones.
This really helped me! This only makes me want to learn more
very good explained
Thank you!😊
ふみ先生。ありがとうございます。🙏 Can I ask about the end point, "ともうします。" If I was to use this in a very formal setting, would I say in it's entirety... "初めまして。(last name) マーカスともうします。よろしくおねがいします。Is this correct? And I would not add "です" after the "ともうします" would I?
マーカスさん、スーパーサンクス、ありがとうございます!
And the answer is yes, when you're in a very formal setting, you say はじめまして、マーカス(last name)ともうします。よろしくおねがいします。
You don't say です after ともうします.
Japanese people are more used to hearing foreign names said first name first unless they're Chinese or Korean names.
