when u said you didnt like the ombre sprayed edges meanwhile it matched perfectly with your hair it made me chuckle a bit lol
Storm keepers island is cute, I've just finished the trilogy
Seven Faceless Saints is absolutely amazing and it has a sequel called "Disciples of Chaos"!!
When Women were Dragons was fantastic imo. Female rage, sapphic love, very magical realism.
I love Impossible Creatures, I rarely read middlegrade so that one took me by surprise, I really really enjoy it.
I've read (well, tried) both those middle grade books. Storm Keeper I DNF'd sadly. Impossible Creatures was a decent four stars but I know some people absolutely adore it (and I believe it won an award for British Book of the Year as well as the Waterstones award)
The Blacktongue Thief is the best! Put it at the top.
Ooh Steal the Wind wasn't on my radar but is now. It sounds good!
I really want to do a video like this, but I'm worried I won't get to reading something that I would love 😂 great video!
Bad ass girl maybe.... 🤣
I really enjoyed a Curse of Saints!
I took the plunge and went for the free month. I’ve been interested in skillshare and notion for a bit so perfect time to try it out!
Can’t wait to see if you get to these! I put mine on a tab on my book spreadsheet this year hoping for more in my face visibility also lol
You know how I feel about lists! If notion isn't working for you, you have me 😆
When Women Were Dragons does have a fantastical element but while its an important part of the story its not a big on page part of the book.
I don't know why but I love self destruct vids 🥰 I'm too much of a hoarder to commit to this 💀
I read and dnf'd Stormkeepers but you and I don't have the same ratings on most books so either you will really enjoy it or you will hate it more than I did. And I didn't get far into it. LOL I don't know about the rest.
I started a new book yesterday called The Twelve, by Cindy Lin, and have been enjoying it very much. I'm on page 71 now and am gonna try to read a bit more after I post this message to you. It's about kids I guess, with hidden powers, and I forget what they are called, but people are trying to get rid of all these ppl with powers for some reason and the sister of the main character gets taken and that's where I'm at in the book and that's also pretty much all you get from the back of the book, so I can't tell you more, but I am really loving this story. Maybe you would enjoy it, too. Middle grade, of course.
Also, I think you should give us updates on how you're reading the books in this video. Obviously, you now wanna read some of these, so I hope you have a vlog of yourself going through them all in the coming year and I hope I don't miss it.
Have an awesome week and read lots! I've been reading lots since I started reading my books physically and am very happy because I never thought I would be able to read this much this way. I'm used to listening to audiobooks because of my eyes and I hate that I read so slowly but reading so much on May 11 has made me wanna read more physical books so I am gonna try to work on this since I have plenty in my TBR. I just hope I can finish them all quickly because I hate being on the same book for too long.
I think you should give Seven Faceless Saints a try. I was hesitant about that one, didn't think I'd like it but I was pleasantly surprised. You may be too?
Hey my lovely great to see you back in another video 🤗🤗
Ooooo a lot of booktubers I watch use Notion for everything. It is like a thing they do on the first of every month as a part of their monthly reset, from seeing them use it…it works 👍🏼
You just need to set yourself a date like the first of the month to do your reset, check your Notion etc and see how it’s going x
The curse of saints was, in my opinion, a bad retelling of the grishaverse
Honestly I didn’t love The Curse of Saints or Seven Faceless Saints. They were ok but I think you’d be okay skipping them.
The Nature of Witches was too YA for me, and I enjoy more YA than you do.
Honestly? The nature of witches and the daughter of dr Moreau are just……….meh.
Buzzzzzzz words… buzzword
The black tongue thief is …. Uhhh…. Quite misogynistic unfortunately imo
The nature of witches is interesting… but it sure is gorgeous underneath 🥹
