I think Bentley is starting to understand familial bonds in a way, he keeps items of his family that he sees them hold or use as a kind of memento for each of them. As William says, none of them are any of his stuff or anything impressive, just things that he would see his family use.

I think he is starting to have a sense of self. He wants to have things that totally belong to himself. In his mindset, things that he keep privately = belong to him.
William was so wise, when he asked Sam not to scold the baby. Then William said, “this is Dad’s, this is Mom’s” there’s his, but Ben’s was none.. he’s a great hyung

I just love how William won’t get mad or fight back Bentley. He just calms himself down and be’s the bigger person and settles the situation properly.
