Growing up as a kid in the 90's These were my favorite sneakers of all time and I still feel the same way today. I remember wearing these religiously as a fifth grader in elementary school takes me back of pure nostalgia

My favorite Nike sneaker growing up as a kid. I was about 9 years old when these came out, I saw them at foot locker and fell in love with them immediately. They looked so futuristic and I begged my mom to get them. She said no because they were too expensive, then went back to the mall without me and bought a pair and put them away until Christmas. My mom was pretty based like that. I was playing basketball at the time in CYO, as well as outdoors a lot -- so I ran my pair into the ground pretty fast. I also wore them to school every day, because what 9-10 year old wouldn't? Lol. It was this same colorway. Pretty sure it was the original launch colorway, I saw them quite a bit. These and the original Jordan 11 Concords were the shoes I cherished most growing up.
The aesthetic definitely isn't for everyone but for me, back in the 90s, this shoe was legit. I don't think I've ever seen another sneaker try to use a similar design with the oval pieces on the midsole until recently with the Way of Wade 808 3 Ultras.
Yea I was 10, I wanted the usa color way 👌🏾and those concords and these were big heat back then
I've been wanting these since 96, my best friend who passed away had them in our freshman year and they were always 🔥🔥🔥, and crazy thing is people hated on them back then. And whenever they drop I can never catch a break. Always great videos.

90s basketball shoes, IMO, have the best designs.
Well, these weren't that cheap. I remember in '96 they sold for $110 (black jordan patent that sold out sold for 150)
I've been waiting for these to retro again. Everyone attributes them to Kidd but Brent Barry had an iconic moment in the red joints in the '96 Dunk Contest. The jacket with the shorts was wild but it worked.

Maybe it's finally time for me to get a pair of these. It's one of those shoes that I wasn't able to buy back in my middle school days but man did I want them.
It’s nice to see older shoes being retroed that aren’t Jordans because it gives me hope that one day they’ll finally do the Flightposite 3’s 🤞🤞

I’m shocked they released the 2 a few years ago. I’d like to see the white/black zoom rookies (not the glowing ones) and the Nate Robinson posites in a few colors.
@B B The Zoom Rookies are so uncomfortable and they have that one little bullshit zoom unit the size of a thumb in the heel. No forefoot zoom. That was a disappointing shoe, and I bought four colorways like a dummy.

I've been wanting these to drop...I loved em when they first dropped when I was in middle school...I missed the last retro
I had these when I was stationed in Panama from 95-97, dogged the hell out of these too playing ball at least 4 days a week! Back then, especially overseas, you had to get to the PX early when new shoes dropped because there wasn't anywhere else to buy new releases unless you waited 3-4 months for some of the local stores to get them.
One of the dopest silhouettes on a shoe…plus J.Kidd was my favorite guards in the 90s still got my 14s tucked away

One of my favorite shoes all time, associated with one of my fav point guard of all time!! I still have my pair from the last retro. Love these babies so much. Never owned the originals though. I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of the way these look. ❤️🤓
Great classic 90s shoe! wanted them so bad when I was a kid I finally got mine in 2014 they’re still looking really good. I’m a little disappointed they didn’t bring back Jason Kidd’s actual shoe the zoom flight five that shoe is so FIRE!!!
Them Alien eye jointz were ill asf. Zoom air was bouncy asf and the traction was immaculate. Felt like a track shoe but that was the intent

Still have these from 08. Total sole separation. I Love these shoes. The first pair my parents actually spent over a $100 on. $115 when they first released.
Same! The glue on these must not do well in extreme temps. I had been keeping these in the trunk as an outdoor hoop shoe and the soles came COMPLETELY off. Glad to see these getting retro’d again. Must cop.

I had these in high school when they first came out. The year after I got them they were still in rotation but more for bball etc and they got stolen from my gym locker. They were probably salty when they realized they were size 15 and nobody else in my school had my size haha. I need these again though ❤️

Grabbed a pair and ive been getting many of compliments. . Had a pair when younger. Had to have been 13 . Cleaned the soles with bleach and returned to store but would not tell Footlocker what i did. I just said they turned yellow after stepping in water. Loved them then love them now. Just hope i can keep these soles nice and white.
Loved and wanted these as a kid the first time around. Love and want these still. Such a strange look, in a really good way. But I can absolutely understand someone not liking them at all also 😄
Man… J Kidd was my dude in 95 and I rocked these on outdoor courts on the regular. On indoor courts they were super slippery for me, but outdoors they were great.
Those Jason Kidds are dope. I love 90s nike. I want those gloves to come back out that had the zipper on them. I also would like to see those Rodman worms with the laces on the side. I also would like to see the return of the Barry sanders come back.

One of my Holy grails of Nike Bball kicks, I was amazed back in junior high that got me interested in sneakers. I still have 3 pairs on ice from 2008 when they had plenty at Nike outlets for $69.
Old head here. These shoes are a Godsend!! I've been looking to replace my basketball shoes with bottomed out midsoles causing back pain for a couple months and just couldn't get with the new stuff coming out. I was able to play hard and felt confident doing everything on the court. Reminds me of the Freak 4 on foot with the exception of the heel which is a bit bulky. You feel it walking around but once you get playing they just feel awesome.
These are my favorite outdoor shoes of all time.
I remember seeing these in a catalog as a kid back in the 90's and I wanted them so bad. My mom instead got me the the Air Max DT Deion Sanders because she thought they were nicer. Fast forward to my adult days after forgetting about these, I saw them again a couple of years ago and had to add them to my collection. Unfortunately I could not find the OG colorway in my size and had to settle for the Black Sail ones.
I just woke up a few minutes ago, and found out these were re-released very recently. It was a no-brainer. Insta-purchase. Almost 30 years later, I finally have them. I feel Nike should retro more of these regular shoes.

I had a pair of these back in the day and used them solely for summer blacktop runs. Comfortable, not the grippiest but the sole lasted a long time. I may just pick a pair of these up again.
I agree, these shoes were BIG...but Kidd rocked with these and was so good, so no issue...I still had my pair but I have to have them reglued

This is one of my top 5 fav shoes. I with they'd only release the J Kidd PE versions like the black Dallas ones I had in 13. Very comfortable

My first pair was the olympic blue pair back in 95.. that was my first real " dope pair of kicks. " Always wanted this cw here tho. They had some fire high tops back than also.
edit: I bought the olympic pair again in 09 at the nike outlet for 35$ on Black Friday.. these are really dope and have surprisingly great ankle support.

They sold out on Nike's site two years ago and I couldn't get them. Now in 2024, one of the Nike outlets near me has this colorway in a full size run. Yup, I copped!

Next to the Foamposite these are one of the hardest shoes to get on your feet. Took dang near 5 mins to get on one foot, struggles to get on the other foot and thats all it took to convince me to put them back in the box.....Lol Boy do I miss 90s Nike baskeball shoe they where the best. And late 90s Converse so many great performers......
