For the Christians qouting the "i am" verse make sure u understand the context. As to why Christians worship Jesus foremost is because we could understand Jesus who lived as a man and lived by what he preached rather than an omnipotent, omniscient, conceptual god whose existence and ways cannot simply be understood by humans.
our islamic friends like to call this conceptual god as Allah, and just because Allah is so vast some people misdirect and lead astray others with that belief and use people to be involved in terror activities. that man/women will think they are fighting for the god when in fact the god never wanted any part in it; it's just the bad people who led them to do that.
