All my internships were unpaid. You don't know what you're doing and someone is going to teach you so you rise to the top of the applicants when applying for a job. But, I work with paid interns and not one of them can show up on time and most of the time they call out sick and when they're at work, they whine. My bosses just don't understand. Not complicated. Hard workers will recognize the opportunity and the losers will whine.
boss: i need you to come in to work saturday. me: sorry, i have out-of-town plans. boss: you have to cancel them, it's an emergency. me: okay, what time will WE be here? boss: we? me: if it's an emergency, you need to be here, to make sure i dont screw it up. ten minutes later, boss: dont worry about it, i made a couple phone calls, it's not an emergency. you couldnt have made those phone calls BEFORE you tried to ruin my saturday?
I head maintenance for a cop shop, the first week I was there I was replacing a tile floor (not huge, around 12’ x 14’) and the Chief at the time stood there and told me that he wanted to make sure his daughter went to college so she didn’t end up…like me. I don’t have a poker face, and when I looked up at him he started stuttering hardcore and apologized. After that we got along just fine.
I bet you are debt free, while his daughter will get a student loan for degree in arts and end up working at Starbucks, or worse only fans, hopefully not, poor girl, sometimes children pay for the parents pride. 😂🙏🏻hope she end up well and free of student loans. The best thing right now is going to trade school!
I can really relate to most of these memes! Hilarious! I was once emotionally blackmailed into coming into work one snowy winter at Xmas time and I had to walk for an hour in deep snow to get there... That was year 3! Year 9? It was. ' nope! Get a nooby to do that shift, I might do January 2nd- if the buses are on!' and I got away with it . I didn't even have to do January 2nd! Result! From then on things got easier but when I did work, I put in the effort!
I had a boss that held mandatory meetings on Fridays. Then he gave me Fridays and Saturdays off, but I still had to go in every other Friday to get my paycheck. Then the company madated everyone have direct deposit, after that, I was always busy, babysitting for my sister.
you didn't have a meme for teamwork. Morning crew we need team work. They leave early half of stuff isn't done. Night crew misses a spot in cleaning. You left the store in a mess. We had to spend thirty minutes cleaning.
3:15 I can’t stand that shit that needs to be banned or if a boss tells you you need to do this person’s job you have the God-given right to say that’s not in my job description I was hired to do this job and this job only and that’s the end of it no arguments no ifs ands or buts, that is the end
7:21 that’s another thing that I can’t stand if you’re not my family by blood then you’re a acquaintance at best, shut the 🦆 up with that “we’re family” bull💩

Unpaid internship, and the company is fight against slavery! The audacity lol
Some of these had me giggling. Thanks! I needed that.
Unpaid Internship is a personal favourite.
And in the battle against slavery, no less! 🤣
I never understood that…the absolute gall of companies and the fact that people actually do it…it’s so WRONG!

@@millie9236 there is no justification for an unpaid internship. If you want/need training on the job then find an apprenticeship.

How rude of him! I admire your skills.
Cop Shop?
@@nellahorelli3226 police station…when I first started there my elderly mother called it the “cop shop” and it kinda stuck🤣
@@nellahorelli3226 never heard that term?... old as the hills... maybe you're just a kid still.

Fighting against slavery while asking someone to give their time. They are oblivious.
You know that slavery is forced labor, right?
@@peterharrell7305 That was my point.

2:45 I'd download that app!!!
That little kid looks like Colin Ferrel.
these look like a lot of stuff from america where the workers have no right what so ever.
And yet we're in a hellfire hurry to get rid of unions (instead of reforming them) because "we have laws that protect us"...
"I'm going to need 2 weeks notice" or what? Fire me?

Family are people who act like family.
Some of these are great but some are not so great... I guess I'm part of the older generation that just doesn't get them....
thats not funny, its sad and dystopian ad
