    I measured 3130 lumens / 112579cd (671m) @turn on
Fenix TK22 Tac is a powerful 2800 lumen LED torch that has been designed specifically for Military and Law Enforcement use.
The flashlight uses a combined throw and wide area beam from its aluminium reflector for reliable all-in-one lighting out to an impressive 540m max distance.
Powered by a 5000 mAh USB-C rechargeable 21700 battery (included), TK22 Tac provides 5 levels of output plus disorienting strobe across two modes (tactical and duty). All functions can be effortlessly operated by a single hand via the patented dual switch system that features a reliable mechanical rotary mode selector and a silent tactical push switch.
Tactical, Lock Out and Duty modes are selected via the rotary collar at the tail of the light, while brightness settings and Strobe output within each mode are selected via the central tail cap push button.
Newly developed Advanced Pulse Frequency signal transmission technology uses a digital switch signal instead of the usual current signal to greatly increase reliability. Combined with the patented mechanical switches this allows Fenix to create a smaller, more efficient light that is much less prone to switching interference than a similar magnetic tail cap system, whilst offering extreme brightness.
    Fenix TK22 Tac performance:
    Duty Mode:
    Eco: 30 lumens (49 hrs 30 min) - 55m beam
    Low: 150 lumens (18 hours 30 min) - 120m beam
    Med: 350 lumens (8 hrs 10 min) - 188m beam
High 1000 lumens (4 hours inc thermal step down) - 315m beam
    Strobe: 2500 lumens
    Tactical Mode:
Turbo: 2800 lumens (3 hrs inc thermal and battery step downs) - 540m beam
    Strobe: 2500 lumens
    Fenix TK22 Tac operation:
Turn the high grip rotary tail switch to select Duty Mode - Lock Out Mode - Tactical Mode
    On / Off:
With the light unlocked and switched off, partially press the tactical tail switch to momentarily turn on the light, release it the light will go out. Fully press the tactical tail switch to constantly turn on the light, fully press again to turn off the light.
    Mode Switching:
In any state, rotate the splined rotary switch clockwise to the limit to enter Tactical Mode, rotate the switch anti clockwise to the limit to enter Duty Mode, or to the middle to enter Lockout Mode.
    Output Selection:
Tactical Mode: Turbo brightness and instant Strobe.
Lightly press the Tactical tail switch to momentarily turn on the light at maximum output, release to turn off. Fully press the switch to lock the light at maximum output level. Press and hold the switch for 0.8 seconds to enter Strobe Mode. Tap the switch to return to High output level. Fully press the switch to turn off the light.
Duty Mode: Eco - Low - Mid - High brightness and Strobe available.
Tap the Tactical tail switch repeatedly to cycle between Eco - Low - Mid - High. Fully press the switch to lock on the selected output level. Tap the switch to select another output level. (Level will be memorized). Press and hold the switch for 0.8 seconds to enter Strobe Mode, tap the switch to return to the previous output level. Fully press and release the switch to turn off the light.
    Instant Strobe:
Activate from the on or off off position in either Tactical or Duty Mode by fully pressing the switch for 0.8 seconds. Fully press again to exit Strobe.
    Lock/ Unlock:
Lock - With the light switched on, rotate the rotary switch to the middle to lock the chosen output level constantly on. At this time the Tactical switch is locked and no further levels can be selected.
With the light switched off, rotate the rotary switch to the middle to lock the light in the off position, preventing accidental operation.
To unlock - Rotate the rotary switch to Tactical or Duty Mode to unlock the light.

Can't decide between the TK22 TAC and the TK22R. From the reviews I have watched on TH-cam, the TK22 TAC appears to have a better more concentrated hotspot.

Several Fenix uses these Luminus led this using sft70 while others using sst70. This sft70 led is an alternative, for the xhp50.2 domed led, when you need throw, or piercing beam when use as a tactical torch. The domed version are dense, but the flat led really stings. I once installed one in my Convoy S11 with 6v 5a driver, and boom' it throws well and bright. Dont know how would the sft fare with the new xhp50.3 hi.
Love the turbo on this light.
    Cheers

Thanks for the review. Should’ve compared with the cynsky k3 instead of h3 since Tk22 and k3 are very similar lights. However, I wish Fenix had made a light that throws even further than this like the cynsky k3 which is 700+ meters. That would be the best compact thrower ever 🤩

    • @nekkomr
      @nekkomr ปีที่แล้ว

If they used SFT40 instead of SFT70, this light could easily breach the 600-700 meter throw

Hi, nice work with the channel and videos. I would like to ask if there is real difference in range, in open field, between the tk 22 TAC and the tk20 R V2.0. I am thinking of buying one of the two and for me is important the range. Aesthetically I like the tk20r V2.0 better and it is less complicated to handle. thank you very much and best regards.

Ideally I like a cross between throw and spill beam wise and a decent striking bezel. Many thanks. Ben.

@@thunderbear0 There's always something like the Astrolux EAO1 that can take a 5500mAh battery, it'll last 6 months at 1 lumen but I'm not sure about 100 lumens. You're probably looking at around 20 hours. There are 2 x 26650 lights with thin handles but they have big heads

Aw, such a lovely beam but no moonlight mode (as usual for Fenix, for whatever reason) and the UI just looks... oddly clunky. I don't see how this thing could be handled with just one hand at all, no matter how you hold it. How does it feel in practice?
