This is a really good interview! I love that we got to know Saweetie more behind the scenes. Her interviews are usually on the surface but this one really delved into who Saweetie is. I love it!!! Definitely made me appreciate and love Saweetie more than I already do. Also s/o to Letty for being a bad ass with those questions and also being empathetic. maaan, i used to have very close relations with this one gal. in 2018 she invited me to LA where i ended up meeting her female cousins & they all happen to be related to Saweetie on her moms side. these gals were mad jelly sayin Saweetie was too this & that, cant give them a shout out or anything, yadiyada. they later mentioned their grandma would babysit them & she was made fun of growing up, calling Saweetie "baby-kulit" (they were referring to her hair; kulit means messy in Tagalog). I meeean illogically these gals had it twisted expecting any type of recognition by the way they spoke of this woman. after a year or so, i cut ties with this gal, but the memory of that night by the envy in their words was impactful enough to write this out. clearly Saweetie is a very eloquent individual and i totally Respect her grind and Realness. that heavy dash of Wisdom carried her through all those hardships & that clearly brought her great Blessings! she speaks from the heart & its awesome to see her major come-up continue. I did all of those things, I know the feeling of that. She’s inspiring to me because I thought I was the only one who did this. I am still going after my goals and she’s a July cancer just like me.
