I attended a seminar with him at Grammen Bank Head Office in Dhaka in 2009. He is very inspiring and a living iconic figure for the young ones.

ইউনূসের নামই ভালো করে বলতে পারিসনা । তোর মতো অশিক্ষিত বলদ গণ্ড মূর্খরাই ইউনূসের নাম নিবি মুখে । আর সেটা একবার ও চিন্তা করবিনা যে , এই ইউনূস দূর্নীতি করে কতো টাকা আমেরিকায় পাচার করেছে শুধু এই গ্রামীন ব্যাংকে ক্ষুদ্র ঋণের থিওরি দিয়ে । আর শেষমেশ তো পদ্মাসেতুর নামে ভূয়া দূর্নীতির নাম ভাঙিয়ে বিশ্ব ব্যাংকের অর্থায়ন বন্ধের জন্য বিরোধিতা করেছে । প্রথমে আমি নিজেও কনফিজড্ ছিলাম এই পদ্মা সেতুর বিষয়ে যে এতো বিশাল একটা প্রজেক্টে সরকার দূর্নীতি করলো কিভাবে । অথচ তখন টেন্ডারই ডাকা হয়নি তাহলে দূর্নীতি হলো কি করে । তারপর কানাডার আদালতে মামলা হলো , প্রায় তিন বছর পর আদালত রায় দিল । এবং দেশের মানুষের ভুল ভাঙলো । আমার নিজেরও ভুল ভাঙলো । এরপর থেকে এই দেশদ্রোহীকে আমি ঘৃণা করি । যে নিজের সার্থকে ছোট করে ও দেশের সার্থকে বড় করে দেখে , সেই তো হলো প্রকৃত দেশপ্রেমিক । ইউনূস চাইলে দেশের সার্থকে বড় করে দেখতে পারতো । আসলে সে তার নিজের সার্থকে বড় করে দেখেছে । আর তুই যদি বুদ্ধিমান হইতি , তাইলে মুসলিম হিসেবে তোর প্রথমেই বলা উচিত ছিল , সুদখোরের আবার কোন নীতি আছে নাকি ? সুদখোর তো সুদখোরই । আর যে লোক দেশের এতোবড় একটা
প্রজেক্ট স্থাপনায় বাঁধা দিতে পারে , তাকে তো দেশদ্রোহী ছাড়া আর কোন উপাধিতে ভূষিত করা যেতে পারে তা আমার জানা নেই । এই বিষয়ে বিশ্বব্যাংকও হোচট খাইছে । তোর ইউনূস বাপ কি পদ্মা সেতুর কাজ কি আটকাতে পেরেছে , পারে নাই । তার কারণ সে একজন দেশদ্রোহী এজন্য পারে নাই । তারপরও বলবো , এই সুদখোরও যেন একদিন পদ্মা সেতুতে উঠে দাঁড়িয়ে বলতে পারে যেন , হে আল্লাহ আমাকে মাফ করে দিও , আমি না বুঝে লক্ষ কোটি মানুষের হক এই পদ্মা সেতু তৈরীর বিরোধিতা করেছিলাম । আমাকে মাফ করে দিও আল্লাহ ।

বাইরের দেশের জন্য ইউনূস অনেক কিছুই হতে পারে । আর যারা তাকে নোবেলে ভূষিত করেছে , মূলত তারা তাদের সার্থের জন্য তাকে নোবেলে ভূষিত করেছে । বাংলাদেশের জন্য ইউনূস একটা নর্দমার কীট ছাড়া আর কিছুই না ।
