Something I'm loving about Hanbin,Soeun & Nadine are they've some of the top level career paths but then they're not revealing it to their respective partners. So eun is a Miss Korea for God's sake & all she says is she's just an artist. Nadine was accepted to 3 of the biggest ivy league universities, even in the waiting list for Cambridge, but she just mentions she's a pre med student. Hanbin has so many achievements at the age of 24 in a department as diverse & tough as culinary, but he just mentions he's a chef. Humble humans👏

@@-ct1zu Pre-med is the same as undergraduate. It's not a major, you just basically chart out for yourself what courses you take to satisfy the requirement to go to med school. Havard is impressive, sure. But I've met plenty of Havard, Yale graduates in my workplace. They aren't more productive or faster or has higher position than anyone else.

Sadly, not all guys want a smart successful woman. Take dongwoo for example, I feel like he was turned off by Nadine because she is a pre med at Harvard. He's a doctor and he graduated from Yonsei, one of the top university in SK. So that's his biggest bragging point. And that's fine because for any other girl, that's impressive. Even seulki and the commentators acknowledged how impressive that is. But if he's with nadine, he will get overshadowed big time. Like you're a doctor? I'm gonna be a doctor too. You studied at Yonsei, well I studied at harvard. Nadine needs a confident, self secured man who will be as glad as she is for her success.

@@xfifina well, in reality, it's actually harder because in my experience, I've only met two types of guys, one like dongwoo who's insecure but still better than the other type of guy whic is the exact opposite. Guys who want their partner to be successful and earn a lot of money because they have nothing to brag about. They're lazy, unfocused and unaccomplished who would rather rely on his parents, or his siblings or worse, his partner to get by in life. So in hindsight, Dongwoo is still a pretty good catch. 😅

i like nadine too, but it doesn't really sit well with me how many people seem to downplay the other girls or guys just to hype her up? like yes nadine's got the beauty and brains and a fun personality, but honestly the other casts are fine too and have respectable occupations as well.
A respectable occupation is subjective...what you consider respectable may be different to the general consensus ... there is a general standard and consensus to what a "respectable occupation" is..as of now..none of the girls have an actual occupation..they are just students. It is only after they graduate and what they actually do with the degree that matters. They dont necessarily have to attend Harvard or even college, but if a person graduated from a university and is unemployed mooching off their parents or is an instagrammer or a youtuber with a quasi following than most people would not consider it a respectable occupation. TH-camrs and instagrammars do not really start having successful careers unless they start racking up sponsorships, have consistent income flowing in every month $10k plus, and a large following ..otherwise, it is better to get a real job that pays at least $5k a month so you're not mooching off your parents. You can make around that much or more in Korea if you have a professional career..other than the doctor (Dong Woo), Nadine (Premed student), the chef, and Yoong Jae (investment banker), no one else seems to have a stable career path for their future...the others are hustling and on the show to promote themselves and get better opportunities. Honestly, to young people with no real jobs or are not fully independent, they may think influencers on instagram or youtube are glamorous but unless you're raking in consistent income every month, have sponsorships and/or advertisements, you're just another person struggling to compete with others in a competitive field. Some people think making a few thousand dollars randomly here and there may be good, but that is not a career or occupation. The rest are struggling actors/actresses/models trying to get that big break. The entertainment business is very competitive in Korea. Unless, you got a day job, you're just hustling. You have to live with your parents or rent an apartment and live off of ramen. If you think that is respectable, then that is your opinion. I don't necessarily equate success with money but if you're successful, you're not struggling. Also with the arts, whether music or painting, you gotta have money because you're usually spending and investing money, rather than earning money. Unless you got money to burn or are a very talented artist or musician who is outstanding and have alot of accolades, you don't really have a career.

Nadine is both beauty and brain. She works so so hard to get into where she is and Harvard is the proof. She has that genuine personality, good mindset and mature.
It seems like people talking about Harvard but we all know that getting into this prestigious University, Nadine has to be very diligent, clever, working hard and willing to sacrifice her time with friends and family to achieve her goal. This is why i like her. It’s not only her Harvard status that i recognised but it’s the process she had been through before she get into where she is :)

i've been following nadine since i saw her college acceptance vid, she seemed so real and i loved it, bestie literally gave 0 shits about how her makeup is smudged and her hair is messy, shes just looking at the acceptance letters and i rlly liked her devotion to her studies. (ALSO she is studying neuroscience which has been my dream since 12 yo,,,, ive been dreaming of neuroscience for around 6 years now and she is a role model i look up to haha) i loved how nadine and dong woo BOTH want/specialise in plastic surgery.

Many young men like JY give up their youth for their nation, taking an oath to lay their lives if needed so that world power balance is intact.
