She was in HS and he was a grown ass man. Plus Jeff and a couple of others have been known for queerbaiting Sterek and Thiam
The growth between these two. The trust they built, it was so beautiful especially because in the beginning Derek didn't want to trust anyone. Then this skinny sarcastic kid shows up whose not even a wolf and gains his trust and acceptance, even saving his life or just comforting him.
I love love LOVE the difference between Stiles' alarmed "Derek?" & awkward punch when he's poisoned at the vet, and the desperate "DEREK!" and no-holds-barred punch when he finds him in the elevator. And Derek's reaction changes from "oh hi, Scott's sort-of useful human," to "hey, this is one of the few humans I trust to help me."

Ahhhhhh I love this so freaking much!!! I'm not into the whole romantic ship, but I am definitely here for the bromance! I only started watching the series a few weeks ago, so I'm not to the end yet, but I live for all Derek and Stiles scenes and I can't wait to see how their relationship deepens as time goes on. Best frenemies ever. (Great song choice, btw. Makes me love it even more.)
