Thank you pastor for clarifying what God has been revealing to me. You're right we don't spend enough time talking about the other side of pride. We are all focusing on arrogance and being haughty but we don't talk about the low self-esteem and that side of pride. What is so crazy is as a child I loved serving others and I still do because I get so much joy from helping others. When you said that self-centeredness was the root of grief in my life, it struck a nerve because I felt like I had been dealing with grief for a long time. I realize that my whole grievance with my marriage has been because of my self-centeredness and not my husband is the cause of it. You're right there are consequences to living that way, knowing or unknowingly. To be honest, I am sick of thinking only about myself and I had done it for so long, I am so glad to give Jesus a chance because it is not all about me and mine. We got to get our minds right....

Pastor Dollar, There is so much silver-lining in this subject. And I would like to highlight something here; We are selfless and, yes we can be selfish and self-centered, but God is in us, therefore there is no self. When we rise in the morning, the first thing we do, is acknowledge the Lord and his greatness; humbling ourselves to the almighty and his ways. And, when we do, he guides and directs our steps. When we listen to his guidance, he reveals the Seven reasons why... and in the seven reasons why, we always find others! And this takes place only when we are being humble. Now, God has planed this life for us, and in his plan, he wanted to prepare us, so that we can be of service to our fellow beings. How can we help when we are broken and unprepared? Pastor Dollar, is a humble servant of Faith in Christ; but I will assure you, God prepared pastor Dollar, with education and many talents, so that he could be secure in his heavenly gifts, prior to serving his brothers and sisters. Self-Contentedness is definitely the case in this COVID season. About 3 weeks ago, I got up early to stand outside Walmart in hopes I can look for a can of Lysol and wipes for a coworker. She had complained that she can never find disinfectant products. There was already a lengthy line, and once the doors opened, everybody ran to the cleaning area. I saw people spilling out of the aisle with 4 to 5 cans of Lysol in their hands and under their arms. It disgusted me to see how SELFISH these people were, knowing others were around them or waiting to get in the aisle that needed them. I almost wanted to cry because COVID requires us to be a team, to help each other. Otherwise, this virus will continue to spread. Thank you pastor for clarifying what God has been revealing to me. You're right we don't spend enough time talking about the other side of pride. We are all focusing on arrogance and being haughty but we don't talk about the low self-esteem and that side of pride. What is so crazy is as a child I loved serving others and I still do because I get so much joy from helping others. When you said that self-centeredness was the root of grief in my life, it struck a nerve because I felt like I had been dealing with grief for a long time. I realize that my whole grievance with my marriage has been because of my self-centeredness and not my husband is the cause of it. You're right there are consequences to living that way, knowing or unknowingly. To be honest, I am sick of thinking only about myself and I had done it for so long, I am so glad to give Jesus a chance because it is not all about me and mine. We got to get our minds right....

There is so much silver-lining in this subject. And I would like to highlight something here; We are selfless and, yes we can be selfish and self-centered, but God is in us, therefore there is no self. When we rise in the morning, the first thing we do, is acknowledge the Lord and his greatness; humbling ourselves to the almighty and his ways. And, when we do, he guides and directs our steps. When we listen to his guidance, he reveals the Seven reasons why... and in the seven reasons why, we always find others! And this takes place only when we are being humble. Now, God has planed this life for us, and in his plan, he wanted to prepare us, so that we can be of service to our fellow beings. How can we help when we are broken and unprepared?
Pastor Dollar, is a humble servant of Faith in Christ; but I will assure you, God prepared pastor Dollar, with education and many talents, so that he could be secure in his heavenly gifts, prior to serving his brothers and sisters. Each and everyone of us is running a different race, with different experiences, (culture, gender, believes) therefore no two minds could be Alike. Premature judgment, it’s something that kills. Yes, it kills our neurons, with all of the negative frequency that we omit when we are being wrongfully/and prematurely judging others. So we can’t just say, that we are all self-centered, period, because, we would be hypocrites. We are all here for a bigger purpose, a purpose that non of us can fulfill alone, not even Pastor Dollar. Whom is currently in the center of the stage, by himself preaching. We have to focus on God so that we can do independent growth, so that we could be able to help others. Self-Contentedness is definitely the case in this COVID season. About 3 weeks ago, I got up early to stand outside Walmart in hopes I can look for a can of Lysol and wipes for a coworker. She had complained that she can never find disinfectant products. There was already a lengthy line, and once the doors opened, everybody ran to the cleaning area. I saw people spilling out of the aisle with 4 to 5 cans of Lysol in their hands and under their arms. It disgusted me to see how SELFISH these people were, knowing others were around them or waiting to get in the aisle that needed them. I almost wanted to cry because COVID requires us to be a team, to help each other. Otherwise, this virus will continue to spread. I just...my heart really crumbled when I saw how these people were acting. Long-story short, a female walmart worker hiding behind the aisle called me, and secretly gave me a can. I went back to that same Walmart a few hours later and there was one can of Lysol sitting by itself out in the open. I felt like God put that there for me.
People, please think of others, and when you do, and go out of your way to help somebody, God sees that, and He will bless you!

Regularly spending time with God and meditating on the love and character scriptures is what is going to help change us from the inside out.
