A moment of appreciation for what a great sport Dec is? He's just chilling in a metal box, filming nothing, still smiling like, "I have no idea what is happening right now, but WHEEEEEEEEEE!"
For anyone who watches enough Penn & Teller, you would know that the “table” holding up the box isn’t even a table at all and is a container that also leads to the panel (trap door) that goes underneath the stage. Mirrors are used to make it look like a table, very very basic trick actually. His audition performance was much more impressive, because even though the secret behind the trick is also pretty obvious, it actually required some skill to execute
And the guy didn't say it was real magic! He said it's a game of a magician fooling the audience while the audience tries to figure out. So for you that have figured out the loopholes, like the darkness behind the box and no body ever standing there, you fit right into his explanation.

There’s definitely room for one person to hide below the box but I don’t know when Dec left the box and when the other 3/4 people got into the box. I’m baffled 😮
The platform the box is laid on is connected to down below, simple mirrors/camera lens to trick you... All the extra people come from down below and out of the box... Dec went in and had enough time to pop out of a different part of the stage....it's a really an old trick concept

I liked his audition much better. For the semi-finals, I found his magic act was dragging on without much suspense. It's nothing new we haven't seen being done before.

Enzo’s act is like watching the unmasked version of “The Masked Magician”, the guy who specialised in showing just how the most famous magic tricks, escapes & illusions were performed.
I can’t believe you decided to put a man who can barely dance and a mediocre singer through instead of him, he was incredible and the others not so much. Abi being in the top 3 in just an insult compared to enzo and gamal
The question is, would the trick pass the Penn and Teller test? We never saw the back of the box. The fingers of the hands were at a very strange, rubbery angle. And there was a huge amount of time wasted to allow Dec to get to the circle.
be nice when theses acts use a box to have bright lighting rather than black which makes it more obvious that there is a escape hatch on the floor under the stage for dec to leave and the other 4 to enter
Lighting to conceal him sneaking away from the box. He is actually in the part of the act. Wonder if Simon or whoever will reveal themselves if they are sneaking away when the lighting is covering them. Lol
Dec didn't need to be part of it. Enzo was gonna pick Dec so the false hands that appeared out the side of the box had the impression of dark suit and white shirt cuffs - The false hand wasn;t wearing the wedding ring Dec was wearing. The dark area beneath the box is the key area - it's false painted/lit in a shallow way to conceal an exit/entrance route off-stage (the camera angle was fixed to facilitate this). Also the backdrop is LED/Pixel based - It looks like hanging lighting blocks but it's not. When Dec got into the box with the camera and filmed inside that was real but as soon as Dec's camera stopped broadcasting he would have dropped into the lower area to a slide going backward then escorted by assistants to his reveal place. The 4 inside the box entered the was Dec left. Ta Dah! 😃
Quite a long table facing the other way isn’t it?? Notice no one stood behind the set either, Enzo being VERY careful to not show anything back there and no lights! Clever trick tho!
They actually had hole below the stage that connect to outside of the stage.. so they already guide dec out of the box and the two hands appear.. those are not dec's
The large background lights are used to block the vision of the person running away or towards the behind of the box. Dec did the same thing and walked past backstage and entered the theatre through the back leading to the audience. Quite easy to decipher this performance.
It was an amazing trick dont get me wrong but Dec must be in on it cos you don’t just appear somewhere else and not know what’s happened like he must of ran up some stairs or something 🤷🏼♂️
I'm pretty sure someone took Dec to Hell and made him promise not to reveal that magic is real, then he was just brought back into some behind-the-curtains, main hall, and ran to the balcony.

this is magic if Dec just normal audience. But of course , Dec more just normal audience, he knew the trick and follow the instructions. The stair behind that stage play huge role. that why this call as illusion and not magic.

It's staged for the TV cameras
