    I've had a D7 PRO for about a month. I live in British Columbia, Canada where there are endless amounts of mountain trails. I've taken into some pretty knarly areas where you need a really good bike. The D7 PRO has taken everything with no problems.

      @@BlueRage Hard to say. I've yet to run the battery less than 30%, and that's after around 3 hours of riding. The trails I ride, I basically only use the battery to get me back to the top of the hill. Down hill, I don't use the battery at all.

    Hi Russ. That is cool the way they did the pattern/texture on the body of the bike. Wow, 4.5 inch tires. I guess off road bikes do not have fenders. Me, I like fenders on my ebikes. The suspension looks great for those trail riders. It is a nice bike to add to your fleet.

    Looks like a nice bike. I guess if they are marketing it as off road no fenders make sense (they build up crazy gunk if you’re going hard through mud), but I do wonder how many people are going to ride that way. For me, I don’t have interest in wider tires. I guess it could matter if you were riding on sand or something, but I’ve never ridden a bike on a beach, so it’s sort of irrelevant to me. In general I find myself drawn more towards the 2.8” kind of tires. It looks like a nice bike, I do like that paint effect, but ultimately it’s not the bike for me.

    Tail light...dumb failure ...the Bike has so many great features and quality components and no rear tail....doh...

    • @RussIsRight
      @RussIsRight 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Since it doesn't come with a rear rack (optional), there would be no place to have a wired tail light. It's built more for off roading, but of course, guys like me would still consider buying this bike. in that case, yes, a wired-in tail light would be much better.

    Hey Russ. Any idea how to use the locking mechanism on the front fork on the D7. I’m not exactly sure what it’s for or how to appropriately adjust/use it.

    • @RussIsRight
      @RussIsRight หลายเดือนก่อน

      Typically the right side (as you are on the bike) has the adjustment to allow suspension or to lock the fork from having suspension. The left side adjustment is how much suspension you get.

    • @just_in.h
      @just_in.h หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@RussIsRight, right. So, basically it gives you a choice of having suspension or not? Not sure where to set the knob and the level of suspension.. I’m mainly using it for road, but sometimes bumpy dirt paths.

    What do the different size rotors for the brakes mean? Oh, yesterday in my car, I was behind a bicyclist on a regular bike and she did not have any type of mirror. I thought that was strange and dangerous. I had to wait awhile until I could pass her.

    • @Nemonurwingy
      @Nemonurwingy 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      The rotor is the metal piece that’s attached to the wheel that the brake pads grab on to when the calipers close. The larger diameter that rotor is, all else being equal, the more torque it can exert as braking force.

    • @RussIsRight
      @RussIsRight 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      I think a mirror is a must. Turning your head to see behind is not safe in my opinion.

      @@RussIsRight You would be hard-pressed to find a road cyclist willing to put a mirror on their lightweight road bike, myself included. There's not a good place to mount a usable mirror on drop bars. Sometimes we put small mirrors on our helmets, but they shake a lot which doesn't make for a clear view. Much better to turn and look, which an experienced road cyclist can easily do.
