If constructor is same as function and only difference is naming convention, why when i tried calling the constructor same as function it displays as undefined? Is it because of this keyword? I tried with the example code u did in "The constructor function pattern section" 9:33. I called constructor function Car('m3',2021,'blue');
I explained the undefined part in your other question. Hope it is clarified. The constructor behavior is same as function if you omit the new keyword while executing(calling) it. Thanks!

First of all, I am liking the fact that you are experimenting things and asking questions... that will accelerate your learning, keep it up. Now here is the explanation of why it is happening: When you do const toyota = Car('Tercel',1997,'white'); you are just invoking the function as you have not given the "new" keyword. As the Car() function gets executed, and if you notice its definition, you do not return anything from it... hence it returns undefined. This undefined gets assigned to the toyota variable and thus it prints undefined. Hope it is clear. To test it further, change the Car function to return a value say 10 function Car(model, year, color) { this.model = model; this.year = year; this.color = color; return 10; } now invoke it like last time: const toyota = Car('Tercel',1997,'white'); You will get 10 when print toyota now. If you miss the new keyword, it is just a normal function execution... Cheers!
