Yes, I too have been playing with waterfall mechanisms for a very long time (*grin*) and they were a little complicated. However you have done a wonderful job of making it simpler to make. I'm afraid to say, that waterfall cards do become easier to make the more you make them. so perhaps you should make a dozen of them (*cheekygrin*). Thank you for a fun tutorial.
You did a fab job. These cards are not easy to make. Great tutorial and very funny. 😆 We are only human and we all make mistakes. It’s handmade and people who receive any of these cards will love them. Well done and Beautiful cards xx
You did a great job on tutorial… Waterfall cards are my favorite. One year I made a 6x6 photo album waterfall for my family. They love it. Thank you. 💜
I have never made this type of card. I always felt the piece you pull on would not stand up to being pushed in and out. Your cards are always well made so I will give this one a try. Thanks for the video.
Thank you! Yes the first card I made felt too flimsy and the piece that was meant to hold the whole thing onto the card failed!!! So I was reluctant to try it again! But I think these cards still turned out better than my first ever! 😁😊
Around 10 years ago I made a waterfall card for my sister's wedding with hearts as the die cut. I was younger then and had more patience with the process. As crafters we always find work arounds for our boo-boos. You made me smile. TFS
Oh my goodness...I'm so sorry you had such a rough time with this card but it certainly gave me some laughs!! I've had many a card that ended up in the trash because of so many mistakes. Glad you kept going, it turned out fine. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for the waterfall card tutorial … this type of fancy fold card is an oldie but a goodie. I like how you used the stamp positioner!!! You also had me howling with the new acronym NDC … I am broke because I am a die fanatic. Thanks for this tutorial … you should start a Facebook page so your loyal followers can upload their creations from your inspirations. 🥰
You had me in fits, as I am constantly surprised to find out I’ve stuck something on upside down, or on the wrong side. You managed to save the card brilliantly. I made one once so I may have another go as long as I have plenty of 300gsm card stock.
Thankyou for this. I too after 30 years of card making have never managed to get my head around it. I made one at a class many years ago but it was the only one I made. Your instructions were clear and concise as always and you have made me feel I could have another go.
I love everything about you’re video! You made me laugh and I needed that so much! You were so hard on yourself yet I thought you did an excellent job making a card you obviously didn’t really have a huge desire to make! I have watched you, over the years, make the most difficult and gorgeous and amazing cards so I know it wasn’t any lack of ability to make this card. You just don’t like making this card! No problem for me! I have about 50 card pieces in envelopes that I tried and tried to make but couldn’t. You finished your card and it’s beautiful! You rock! Thank you so much!!! ♥️💜💙👍🏻👌😘
Such fun to laugh with you over the little bloopers you'd made. But that didn't detract in the slightest from the wonderfully clear instructions. Your card turned out really good, it worked perfectly, and I love that it wasn't dependant on cutting dies. I haven't made a waterfall card yet, but it is on my list..and yours will be my "go to" tutorial when I do. Thank you. 💕
Thank you so much!!! I edited so much out of that video!!! There was lots of bloopers - had to stick it all together after I'd cut them all out!!!! 😁😁😁
Beautiful cards! The butterfly one is gorgeous! I haven't made one of these in over 12 years. I think yours have turned out great! I think you did a fabulous job. You persevered. On to the next, right? I can't wait 💕💕💕
Well done for persisting! I'm sure we've all got drawers full of 'that nearly workeds'. I've even been given the tonic dies to make a waterfall card but it's never been used. All your cards looked amazing. I'm working on Easter cards at the moment and struggling for new ideas.(making five masculine Easter cards ever year is a nightmare). So this is going to be one if them!
Well done another great tutorial! Even though you were having problems and it would have been so easy for you to have not shared the video, it was great that you persevered and it encourages us to see even someone as good as you who makes beautiful cards can have problems, make mistakes and things don't always go right or to plan!! Thank you for a great video and great card (which I shall have a go doing) and some laughs along with you!
Thank you!!! I always tell my class - I've made the mistakes so you don't have to!!! Funnily enough, several of them absolutely love this card and have got on really well with it!!! 😁😁😊
@@icedimages have you thought about starting an Iced Images Facebook group so we can all share our makes? If you do I promise I will try the waterfall card and post my result!!
@@jellybean28 Hi. I'd love to have somewhere where everyone could share their makes but I really really dislike fb, and wouldn't have the time to be able to moderate it, or even set it up! I'll have to look into another option of where ppl can share their photos.
@@icedimages I know just how much work is involved, I used to be an admin on a group, so I totally understand. I have a love hate relationship with Fb too! No pressure, it was just an idea.
😁😁😁 I'm glad I'm not the only one!!! There was a moment during that video when I did - for a split second - consider ditching the whole thing!!! But then I realised I didn't have time to prep and film another video, so I just had to push through somehow!!! 😄😄😄
Just realised I used tinted paper for the back portion and the slide mechanism and so it kept buckling since the water cards were of 250 plus gsm...thanks
All your cards are so beautiful.i was trying a rectangular waterfall minicards as waterfall but they didn't slide properly. the pull tab mechanism defeated me😢
Thank you! I know what you mean - I had so much trouble trying to get this to work! You didn't see all the filming I had to edit out!!! I almost gave up several times!!!
I am going to put on my Big Girl Pants and give this a shot. I am confused as to why you made your first score at 6 inches. I thought that you needed to measure the length of your card, say it is 4" tall by 4" wide, and then begin the 1/2" scoring at THAT point. Am I understanding correctly? Thx.

You've mastered it! once is enough, I always say.
Absolutely!!! I made 4 in total, so I think I can definitely get away with never making one ever again!!!! 😁

I was the same, tried it once and never tried again. I love making fun fold & interactive cards.I will now give it another go, so thank you.
