Love the bright colors with the black contrast. This technique looks so easy. Anyone can do it with whatever coloring medium they prefer. Thank you for the ideas!

I love this technique! What a great idea to color them and then do the folder with black. I also love love that cut strip card with those too. so so good! Rachael

I love these cards! I'm going to have to try this technique. I'm still debating on what I think of the dark purple. But that doesn't matter, they're all beautiful. ❤

Reminds me of Joesph Technicolor Dreamcoat. (Maybe that’s not the name?) The technique of clear heat embossing over a colorful background and then smearing dark ink over your paper and wiping the ink off the embossed parts. Only I like it better with dry embossing. So much cooler. 🤩
I actually liked the Copic one with the densely patterned embossing more when the black ink was more translucent. It was good at then too. But when the black ink was lighter, it reminded me of a ceramic glazing technique.
I think I’m going to try this with black paint. Paint will likely be more opaque and not require as many trips through the die cutter.
There’s so much room for exploring with this technique because changing background colors and embossing folder patterns will create different aesthetics. Imagine a more monochromatic coloring scheme with Distress products. Maybe add some heat embossing to some of the raised areas or Foundry Wax. So many wonderful possibilities. 💖

Fun fact: hand sanitizer will rejuvenate your Copic markers!

Your cards are such an inspiration - so colorful! BTW, are you pronouncing the word “especially” as “eckspecially”? Just asking.

What an awesome technique! I was signed up to to CREATE, but had to back out last week due to a couple of health problems pop up, I was so looking forward to it and to be able to meet all my crafty designers! Bummer!💜💞💞😩🫣
