Hi Tanya, I recently bought a clivia plant from the nursery. It's March now and about 2 weeks from the day I bought it the flowers which were on bloom, started changing colour and falling off. I'm not sure if this was supposed to happen as Ive read the bloom can last for a few months. Is this normal? I'm also very glad and excited I came across your video since I was wondering how to care properly and propagate this clivia. Thanks for your amazing videos and info. Looking forward to your reply. Can I put those seeds directly into the soil using the same mixture you used in the pots so that I won't have to transplant? Will the seeds germinate the same as in pots
Roots/shoots don't always go in the right direction. I sowed some zucchini seeds and 5 of them germinated upside down. So much so, they sprouted leaves under the soil and I had to remove them and replant them right way up. So no, they don't always grow in the right direction.
Limpiar las semillas, tapar con tierra para semillas a la mirada( la otra mitad la tapas con vermiculite o plastico para mantener la humedad. Son plantas de bosque entonces las pones en un lugar fresco y en la sombra. cuando salgan las plantitas y tengan dos hojitas las cambias a otra mazetita (teniendo cuidado con las raizes).

Tanya what is the depth of your tray? Does it matter what the height is? My tray is only 5.5cm tall is that enough?

I pollinated mine and got some green fruits. Wondering how long before they get red and ready to harvest?
I've noticed that the berries turn red when the plant resumes flowering the next year

Hi TanyaI have lots of clivias and they look amazing but do not seem to flower? Seeds seem to stay green? Do they need more shade? Many thanks
Keep them mulched with thick layer of mulch, feed with potassium-rich fertiliser taking care not to burn the clivias with direct contact

Depends on the seed, I always sow sideways just in case.
