Im interested in how booting into safe mode reverted the changes. I get it wasn't meant to be a persistent virus and a joke, but I didn't expect that to happen.
It uses a specific registry key to load a DLL with every program that starts (which is how it modifies common calls like for loading icons and strings). This is ignored in safe mode. While I could have made it more persistent, using the reg key is much easier and I even prefer it like this, as it can easily return to normal. The crashing and icon replacements are all real though. Still, after exiting safe mode, the reg key should have been loaded again (unless Siam was deleting it or the DLL). I don't know why that happened here.

I had leftovers in program files and deleted it. Camtasia, idk, but is it okay if I crack it? Avast cleaned mbt patcher but who knows. So is it needed to reinstall whole OS? Will anything happen to my other hdd partitions? :/
