Absolutely beautiful front & back. I'm so glad it's been preserved & is being taken care of. The inside is lovely & you did a very fine job on this video. Thank you so much.
I would love to go there. I am researching my ancestry and found that my ancestors are Robert Callender and Sir Alexander Livingston. I am amazed at the work that went into the house. I personally do love the front, but they are both beautiful.
What a stunning house. All that beautiful wood, I'm so glad this place is being preserved and looked after. I think the back of the house is more attractive, my opinion. Thank you for the vid 😊
Such an amazing House just absolutely stunning. I so love the talent/workmanship of the painting/tiles,moods, especially the wood work the time and detail is mind blowing. Gorgeous thank you so so much.
Loved seeing inside this beautiful mansion. It is stunning, inside and out. Thanks for another great explore. Well done. Looking forward to your next one. P.s I prefer the rear of the house view.
The kitchen smelled of ginger that day as they had baked a Georgian recipe ginger cake for sampling which was very strong on the ginger but mmmm it was good
it is the life of a servant in those time. there living quarters were not that much better if it was better..they were just servants after all according to the lord and lady of the house.
This is a fantasy house. It's somewhere between drop-dead gorgeous and stunning. I agree that the rear facade is as dazzling as the front. I wonder about the square footage. The Charles Schwab mansion, that was built in NYC on Riverside Drive in the 1890s, was 50K square feet. I think this place may exceed that. Your deep appreciation for the fine architectural details in the places you visit, is in turn, much appreciated by me. Thanks for taking the time to point these details out so carefully. I can only give this one thumbs up, but it's worthy of two.
Awesome, I've wanted to see inside the Callendar kitchen for ages now after seeing it for literally seconds on a TV doc. The back of the house is more attractive I think.
I LOVED this video! I can almost imagine the families walking the halls and what it looked like as a home. The only thing that ruins it for me is when rooms contain modern things like display cases, but I understand why they are there and they contain some awesome artifacts, or chalk boards. The chalkboard really bothered me because it seemed like a destruction of history to me. I know it's only part of a wall but I like to see everything intact.
Speaking of history, I have this photo on my instagram of an abandoned mine shaft down in southern california. It's been out of use for more than a century but you can still see all the rocks and minerals in the cylinders and stuff. I mentioned it in my "overdosed on water" vlog
wow thanks man for describing this sensational castle, /mansion, your history in scotland truly is something else, indeed.....[ i still dont understand why when u had a chance to become seperate from england, u stayed with them ].............oh well
Beautiful home and history
Thanks, It really is an awesome place
