yes. it is too painful to lose so very much. the forest protects the entire planet, we can share it with its gatekeepers. too much knowledge is lost when you inappropriately disturb forest residents. it is a foolish action. maybe Uganda's government does not need those medicines. too late now. how poor the rich are!!!

The way they live their lives are also the same as of those in the Philippines. In the Philippines, there's a law that protects them and all tribes in the country. Very true. I have Caribbean roots but live in the states. I have a beautiful condo and a well paying job but I’m never home to enjoy it. I’m not miserable but definitely overwhelmed. Seeing these people so happy with the bare necessities is culture shock for me. I don’t think I’d survive.

I have an Anthropology/Social Science degree and a big interest in folklore. All over the world, there are legends of "little dark people" who were supposedly very ancient and the original inhabitants of whatever cultural area we may be talking about, before the later/dominant inhabitants arrived. In Scotland, the Picts were supposed to be small dark people, and the legends of people like this often got mixed up with Faery lore. In the Philippines they were called the Dwendes ( Dwarves) and though they are thought of as Mythic they may be a folk memory of the 4' tribe that you were talking about. Maybe at one time in the past there were a lot more these small people all over the world. It's a fascinating subject.

These are Batwa. It is derogatory to refer to them as the Batwa pygmies. Some communities in some regions of Europe and Africa have the average human heights of about 6ft and 5 inches but they are not reffered to as "giants' since it is offensive. For example we don't reffer to the Dinka as the Dinka giants. Hence, these are the Batwa. They are also not the shortest community in the world. Other communities with average low heights are, Babongo, Baaka, Bambuti and the San, among others. All the same this video is very interesting and informative.

Most of them were assimilated into other Bantu and Nilotic tribes in Uganda. These Pygmies and their Khoisan brothers were all over Africa during ancient times. This is why many Ugandans will have some indigenous Twa blood
i am a former Harvard student. Harvard has money right from the school for its students. You can ask for tuition right from the Admissions office. Please consider Harvard if you wish to study overseas. They have several of the best libraries in the United States and it is right down the road from MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) a very famous technical school for Economics and Science. Do your best in school and rise up!!! Either school can pay your way. There is a big African student community in Boston and Cambridge, Massachusetts AND YOU ARE WELCOME. ♥

Most of them were assimilated into other Bantu and Nilotic tribes in Uganda. These Pygmies and their Khoisan brothers were all over Africa during ancient times. This is why many Ugandans will have some indigenous Twa blood

i am a former Harvard student. Harvard has money right from the school for its students. You can ask for tuition right from the Admissions office. Please consider Harvard if you wish to study overseas. They have several of the best libraries in the United States and it is right down the road from MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) a very famous technical school for Economics and Science.
