Interesting insight. I just got a 3.0t, been researching this for years. I think the ultimate reality is aftermarket turbos = GTR power. Youd most likely beat any car with Z1 turbos or pures on a daily basis. The VR30 does have all the potential but you have to pay for it. I still think the boosted VQ platform is crazier cause of top end power
Agreed with everything you said. Not only do you need z1s, you need a good tuner that can tune it for you. I love goracebox and everything they have done for me. Customer service is a 100/10. They get back to me asap. Down the road I plan on going full e and z1s and I want to push 720 hp. My only issue is is that I don’t want the motor to go.
When it comes to catless down pipes do it matter what brand? Like do other brands perform better then others I ask because I’ve seen one on fb market place for 350 and want to get it
are you able to upgrade the turbos ? I know they have a kit but is it something you’ll be looking into . I’ve been watching your videos for awhile and you honestly made me want to switch over from the vq platform to the vr30 platform . I’ve got a vq35 in my altima , tuned by ml performance . it’s alright but it’s definitely not a dig car , and I just had it at the drag strip the other weekend . I’m going to trade in for a q50 and get this same type of build going !
you are, you could turbo delete and get a big turbo, which is probably what im going to do, more reliable gets you more turbo noises, and i think just off that you gain a couple hp
you said you checked your turbos like 100 miles ago in the end of the video, how did you check them? btw are you in the 302? im around here too i live in dover lol, just got a 2020 3.0t luxe im super excited about it
@@FosterShaner yes I’m in Newark. When I changed my intakes to B6A ones I put my phone camera down and took pics from the inlet side. Turbos looked great and had no random oil spots or anything
I like the look of the q50s, but it's only a matter of time until those turbos go and the coolant leak problem, trade it or sell it and get a m340i or even a 540i which should be cheaper than a m340i, the b58 is way more reliable, can make more power mod for mod and the interiors are nicer. Those turbos are on a time limit....thank me later
I did want a b58 at first. I know the b58 long term can make more power, but vr30 mod for mod takes it all. I promise about that. I’ve raced multiple b58s mod for mod and won each time. I’ve only lost to one b58 and that’s because he’s on hybrid turbos on full e while I’m on stock turbos on e30.
The turbos only go bad when you use the shittiest oil possible, if anyone uses 0w-20 they are just asking for the turbos to go. I use euro blend Castro oil 5w-40 every 3k miles and when I checked my turbo seals after 15k miles the turbos look brand new.
@Q50anton well hopefully it lasts. The turbo itself is a bad design, especially 2015-2019. They changed the turbo in 2020, I believe, but the dreaded coolant leak is even worse! That's why I won't get a q50. Once the coolant mixes with oil, it's a done deal, I hope that doesn't happen to you.
@@mk5rob42 yea me too man. I’ve been checking everything when I change my oil. I check my belt, check all my fluids and if anything looks bad I go overboard
@Q50anton yeah it happened to Zillafullboost, I remember watching his videos. That's when I wanted a q50, but I'm thinking of getting a 540i that's a great sleeper car.

Do a full list video of your performance mods on why you got them and how they help with performance

I see you're from Delaware, what part? I'm in sussex county. I'd love to see this in person because I'm thinking of getting one
How maintenance like what’s everything I should do maintenance wise to make the vr30 last longer
you think it would be safe to copy this build, and or alter it a lil bit on a rwd version? ik it would prolly spin a lot but im down for some thickies
You need a Mishimoto catch can body
Bro what are the specs on your new rear tire setup ? I been looking to add some meat to my rears lol
