And that ladies is the reason I keep wanting to return - so much to explore !! We were going to take a walk along the cliffs north west of Shawbost but ended up elsewhere due to the weather but there’s a wealth of coastline we’d love to walk and photograph. Great film as always and preferred the left hand image purely as the fence post in the rhs image drew my eye just a little too much as to be a distraction from the overall scene. Take care 👍🏻
''Hope you enjoyed'' - well I for one certainly did, as usual!! What a stunning place you have chosen to move to, it just keeps on giving! Those waves - wow!! As to which of the fence shots I prefer, I think the second with the separation from the cliff. However having said that, if you hadn't shown both I would still have thought the first was superb! And that also goes for the 1 sec or 30 sec shots - like them equally! Lovely video again both, top job! Keith
Aww haha thanks so much 😊 Lovely to hear that you enjoyed the video. A pretty miserable day weather wise but always a stunning piece of coastline to explore and enjoy. It’s funny, I was convinced on the day that I needed separation from the post and cliff edge but I actually don’t mind either. It’s good to try both and then the option is always there. It’s always preference with textured or smooth waves, I always like to try a few different shutter speeds and decide afterwards…nice to include a comparison. Thanks again, so kind of you as always. Take care Adele & Max 😊
Magic! So many beautiful shots, the music lifting the gallery, really enjoyed. Early shots textured I really liked, but the second to the end 30 seconds, that was a stunning shot and well controlled foreground.
Thanks so much Mali, lovely that you enjoyed the video. So nice to have a wonder & photography a piece of coastline that’s possibly overlooked, a grey day really but always something to photograph and enjoy. Thanks for your lovely kind comment… have a look at booking a ferry crossing and come exploring with us 😊🙌🏻
On the subject of the two fence post images, on balance I prefer the 2nd one with the post in the centre of the bay as it looks a more intentional choice, and a much clearer subject for the image, but I like them both and can see your dilemma at the time. I'm a sucker for longer exposures but I actually prefer the textured shorter exposure images as they really convey the 'motion of the ocean'. It will be good to see what else is along that bit of the coast as I was with Nick Hanson on a workshop when I visited there and we didn't get to explore,' just' shoot the Stacks.Sorry I can't fit a chuckle in fthe comments for you both - this is serious photography! 😇😇😇. Stay safe and well, and keeping us entertained. Thanks 👍.
You still actually managed to fit a chuckle in Mark… Superb job!! 🙌🏻 The fence … I was still torn even when looking at the images in post… no pun intended 🤣 I think I’m leaning towards the post in the centre but ended up saying does it really matter… I do much prefer a clean image though. Smooth or textured… still can’t decide on that either, some of the images definitely suit the textured feel and convey the movement at the time, always nice to have a bash and ‘try’ to decide afterwards. There’s so much to see over that way, we literally covered a short piece of the coastline here, the bay behind us towards the end of the video also has two stacks. One to return to for sure. Take care Mark & thanks again, so lovely of you to keep tuning in & entertaining us with your comments. Adele & Max 😊

@ I’d be over in a flash! And I need to make this happen. You did magic with the skies saying it was grey.
@MaliDaviesPhotography Definitely, you could combine a trio with Skye or Glencoe enroute 🩵 It would be lovely to say hello in person. 🙌🏻
