I love how all these people come back saying they are in the relationship and the person isn't there. They're on a video call... like they're not living their own separate life. How can u be living a life w someone who doesn't live w u? To be honest I don't believe for one second that Mike actually loves her. He found one who would have him and jumped on it. No it doesn't... When you've been financially manipulated by someone it's a perfectly natural reaction to feel angry and want the money back when in a fight. It doesn't mean you always "saw it as transactional". As someone who has been treated that way (by a friend, so less "intense" of a relationship), it's exactly how I felt - and as obvious as it may look from the outside, it's very easy for emotions to mask what is actually happening - especially if you're desperate to believe that they aren't like that.
Thing is, in a court of law (at least here in the UK ^^; ), when you buy someone something as a gift, that’s on you. You can’t get a refund. You can’t take them back (theft) as you chose to give them away and thus they aren’t yours. That’s a choice on the individual, that’s how the court will see it

I may be completely off, but I think Ximena is more innocent in this than the show is showing. From the beginning, Mike gave me a weird feeling as soon as I saw him. When he wouldn’t leave Ximena’s house, that was so creepy and it would have scared me. Him calling her stupid, I don’t think that was an accident. The look on his face made me think he knew exactly what he said and he didn’t care until her sister stepped in. Ximena has her own things I think we’re wrong, but I don’t think Mike is nowhere near as innocent as he let in.

Agreed. Ximena is rightfully guarded. In every culture, poverty is regarded as its own character flaw and brings on an enormous amount of shame. She's not going to allow anyone to use that as a weapon against her, so it makes sense that she doesn't elaborate how Mike is using her and her families socioeconomic status as a means of not just controlling her but her entire family as well.

Because in this Tell All, it seems like they are pushing their own narratives of the story towards Ximena, instead of properly conclude the relationship by considering the individual standing. Because, to be fair, I see Ximena's behavior so far as her being very professional towards her client/sugar daddy. It's just whack that they either really thought that or took money for basic human decency. Ximena was so clear about everything and was far off from being the one to hold onto the relationship and trying to destroy the other person's life. I think their relationship would be considered trauma bonding and the reason he can't leave is because of his attachment style- it's unfortunately cyclical until he wakes up and commits to leaving and stays away for good, no matter how much it hurts in the moment. Unfortunately with trauma bonding, it's hard to wake up when you're convinced that other person is THE ONE. The extreme highs and lows he's feeling in their relationship get romanticized as 'passionate, fervorous love' on his end and not as red flags. That being said, I don't disagree with you. I think he could learn Spanish if he really wanted to- it seems like here and there he's been picking up on it. But the best thing he could do for himself is to just find someone who actually likes him for him. Everyone seems to forget that Mike was the one that offered to pay for everything providing that she would stop working as a cam girl. Now that she wants to end things with him everyone is calling her a gold digger. Unfortunately with trauma bonding, it's hard to wake up when you're convinced that other person is THE ONE. The extreme highs and lows he's feeling in their relationship get romanticized as 'passionate, fervorous love' on his end and not as red flags.
That being said, I don't disagree with you. I think he could learn Spanish if he really wanted to- it seems like here and there he's been picking up on it. a big problem with the tell all imo is that the other cast members DIDNT get to see the entire seasons episode of mike and xinema. only half the episodes were aired when they did the tell all and they hadnt seen the entire story which is why (i think) everyone is so damn disconnected

Okay Ximena isn't perfect and has definitely made mistakes about hanging stuff over him HOWEVER it genuinely infuriates me that all of the women in this tell-all are acting like if a man offers you financial security it means you owe him unconditional love and support and commitment for life like love and compatibility and emotional security and even feeling safe in return mean NOTHING.
