HHX Complex cymbals are awesome. I primarily play AA and AAX (just got confirmation last night that my 17 and 18 AAX thin crashes just went out for delivery from Sweetwater) but I have 2 HH Vanguard cymbals, the 20 and 22 that I use for jazz. The complex line reminds me a lot of these but with a little more fullness to the sound, this pack blends really nicely together.
Noting some if the comments here, I prefer these sizes. I use 16" crashes, 20" ping ride and 13" k/z hats (all zildjians) and works great in church. I prefer the 'gospel' style of drumming than the soft rock mega church with predictable breakdown/crescendo. But that's just my own preference, because I like the challenge of gospel music and I want to give my best in church.
They missed the mark on the sizes. 22”-24” Rides, 18”20”22” crashes and 15” or 16” hats are the norm in the majority of worship settings. Sabian has the right idea with dark and lush sounds… just go big!
I think they hit the mark right on. I play a combination of HHX and AAX all smaller cymbals to achieve as he discussed, quick attack and be able to excite the cymbals with lighter sticks and attack to control volume.
@@jleffel6969 I've been using 22's forever with the usual bounce down to a 20" k ride but I'm gonna have to find one of these in a store and really check it out

I play on bigger cymbals. I’ve got a 21” Sabian bash ride and a 21” K crash ride as well as a full set of HHX evolution Ride, hats, and 18” crash
I LOVE IT💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘
They sound beautiful. Musical and they sit beautifully in the mix. Good to see Sabian making modern cymbals and not resting on their laurels.
Love these cymbals and the video production and playing! Nick is awesome!
This is a really nice well-rounded set. It would pretty much perfect for most people

Such a nice balanced tone!

Sabian! Bring back the Max Splashes. Portnoy is back and we need the max splashes back
Hopefully this year will be getting that cymbal set for our local church drum set
I’m a gospel drummer for new wine at king Jesus… this is true. We need big and insane cymbals like sabian since we do have a big campus
these sound great! now i just have to convince my church to get these lol
Perfect for my church
Awesome ❤

I think by worship they dont mean CCM, they mean gospel

I would agree to a point as I prefer larger too. But I think they will work for most church settings and keeps price down being smaller for churches.
15in hats, 18 & 20in crashes and a 22in ride with 10in aero splash… that’d be a better option or an additional p&w pack for this range.
For worship we need a bigger cymbals.
A 16 inch Crash is a hi hat top on a boom stand. 20 inch is needed
Bello.💎💎💎💎💎💎
Absolutely phenomenal line of cymbals in the HHX Complex, but then you see the price and a part of you dies...
How much does this cymbal pack cost? This could be a great pack for my church to use for the “house” kit.
As a member of the First Church of Absurdism I need some cymbals made of egg shells, water and smoke.
not super feeling the crashes and hats but whooooooooo boy that 21" Complex Medium Ride is making me *feel things*

Firsh please :P
Worship = BIG AND THIN. That’s what we’re looking for.
I love Sabian complex, but these sizes are for more gospel and R&B, not contemporary worship.
Yeah but I see lots of drummers use smaller thin cymbals for worship too! Honestly everyone has there preference!
666 mark of the beast cymbals. More nonsense for a fallen world, no idea what true worship is .
