Some interesting psychology going on for sure….Woody said a lot of “she is”. Gus said a lot of “she was”. No judgement. Just interesting to see the differences.
Hi Guys, I've watched a lot of your videos and credit to the research you do to put them out. I dived with Martyn Farr throughout the 70's early 80's. In the UK we always dived side mount due to the nature of our Caves, and we would if needed unclip a Cylinder to pass a restriction usually still with the valve end attached, just incase. Sometime both if needed, but always keeping the front end attached. This approach was the norm if needed and we always dived Side mount. The American harness made clipping Cylinders on and off really easy. You guys were late in diving S/M having larger Caves of course. The secret is to never loose the Valves. Very sad new for Agnes as She was way ahead of her time. We'll keep up the good work guys. All the best. Dave Morris UK.

My prayers go out to her parents, such a tragedy, you have my deepest condolences 🙏
Wow! Amazing, trailblazing diver. The footage of Agnes going through the tight restriction in the beginning with the flow pushing her around, gave me anxiety just watching it. Incredible.
This is mind blowing. Has there been a tighter squeeze in the history of cave diving? I’m wondering who even sees that and is like, “yeah, I’m doing that.” I mean I wouldn’t do that with a pistol to my head. I’d prefer the bullet. Utmost respect to this fearless human.
There are MUCH tighter and more challenging restrictions in cave diving. I have been to this dive spot several times. This one is actually not that bad mostly because it's only a few feet long and the floor is not solid rock. The flow also keeps it from getting to zero viz whereas many restrictions have to be navigated in zero vis due to silt. There are passages that are smaller than this and they go on for hundreds of feet. Keep in mind that the camera man (Wes Skiles) made it through with a fairly large and expensive camera setup. The really bad restrictions don't lend themselves to filming. This would not be considered a challenging dive at all for experienced cave divers like Wes or Agnes. I does make for good footage though.
@@CL-gq3nocap. Maybe they get smaller, but you downplaying it is absurd. I’m watching a real video here, compared to your maybe true, maybe not true comment. Who does that? 😂 you’re the guy who always caught a bigger fish.
@@grimshorts4834, I was simply answering your question. You asked, "Has there been a tighter squeeze in the history of cave diving?" and the answer is "yes, much worse". I also clearly said that both Agnes and Wes (the camera man) have been through much more difficult restrictions. I didn't tell you about any of my "fish" stories at all other than saying I'm familiar with this spot so I'm not just guessing. Both Agnes and Wes were great divers and great people, but was this the pinnacle of their diving abilities? Absolutely not. This was a walk in the park for both of them.

That music was beautiful and eerie all at the same time. I wasn’t sure if this was the dive she lost her life, I’m so glad it wasn’t, after that restriction work, I didn’t wanna see anything bad. She was meant for cave diving. Absolutely beautiful.
We had our national (Australian) documentary program do a documentary on her and her father spoke on losing his only daughter where he said he was extremely pained but took solace that she died doing something she loved
I'm glad you mentioned that if you had to take gear off you wouldn't go. even with how much experience you guys have you will still set a bar you will not cross.
She is my hero 🦸♀️She talked about the risk and even dying if she had to. I believe she would’ve wanted to die doing what she loved and was probably pretty humble about her situation in the end.
Watching your show has me tempted to start taking classes for diving. On one hand, diving in general seems absolutely terrifying. On the other, it seems like there's a lot of other individual reasons to do so. From the beauty of the things around you, to just seeing if you has the ability. It seems incredible.

Any restriction plus me equals 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️
I loved the aussie 60 minutes segment on Agnes! Very reverential! 💜🦈
Hi Woody and Gus! I found your guys channel a couple of days ago and have subscribed and binge watched most of your content now! You guys are hilarious together and fun to watch but also fantastic at getting across information and teaching about something that sounds so overwhelming and scary in a beautiful and technical way and I really appreciate how you break it down for us non divers to feel a part of your world :)
I am learning so much including learning about this amazing young woman who was taken far too young doing something she truly loved.
Thank you for the content and for tributing this amazing woman ~ RIP Agnes ❤️
Welcome to the family! and thank you for watching and commenting.
Yeeessss!!! I knew eventually you guys had to do Agnes' story!! I've been asking you guys to cover her story for a while!! I'm so happy to have you guys cover her and how amazing she was.
Thanks guys made me cry!
When this came out this is what made me want to cave dive. Just looks so fun! Wes Skiles did the photography for this video. Incredible, exciting!
As an aussie girl this makes me so happy, and also sad. Thank you for educating me about her. I hadn't actually heard of her til now
"There's not enough WD-40 in the world" -Gus HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Great video, great diver!
Glad you enjoyed!
not even if Woody lubed him for HOURS!
@@ChristelVinot not even ASTROGLIDE would get Gus into those places!...lol...from Wyoming USA 🇺🇲🤠
Love the way you talk about Agnes, so much respect and thats for you guys to for bringing this reaction.
Never heard of her before. Love your guys videos introducing us to these awesome people.
Such a shame such an amazing individual lost her life to something she obviously loved so much. May her spirit be a becon of light and an educational lesson, no matter how highly advanced you may believe yourself to be, something can always go sideways. My prayers go out to her parents, such a tragedy, you have my deepest condolences 🙏
Such a great video to watch. Thank you guys for all that you do!
Thanks for watching!
Our “handsome” Pavarotti!!!!! Enjoy this so much! Xxxx
Makes me think of the free diving legend Audrey Mestre. I hope both rest easy! Both were badass and seems so sweet. ❤️
Wow! Amazing, trailblazing diver. The footage of Agnes going through the tight restriction in the beginning with the flow pushing her around, gave me anxiety just watching it. Incredible.
I got to say I stumbled upon this page by accident. Love it, and now this football coach wants to take up diving. Thank you!
To see her face and how excited and happy she is...
Wow. Thanks for sharing this. She was incredible
Would love to see more female cave divers, Gus & Woody :-)
It's such a rare treat! RIP to Agnes the Legend :-)
There have been many legendary outstanding woman in another epic sport. Himalayan climbing. Worth checking out.
Should interview Jill Heinerth
@Pantoni's Lair Im a Mr. Ballen sub as well & yeah, I found Gus & Woody through him... I remember that story too, thanks for the suggestion though!
This is mind blowing. Has there been a tighter squeeze in the history of cave diving? I’m wondering who even sees that and is like, “yeah, I’m doing that.” I mean I wouldn’t do that with a pistol to my head. I’d prefer the bullet. Utmost respect to this fearless human.
right lol shit almost gave me an anxiety attack yikessss
I have never seen someone smile that much. I hope she was as happy as she appeared to be.
I was watching the story about Agnes and I had to see if you guys had done a show on her dives!!! Of course you had!!!!!!!❤ love you both and Agnes was a beast!!!!Amazing diver and amazing human❤
This is so very sad especially when you consider how young she was and how much extraordinary talent she had. Salute.
I love these videos but it breaks my heart when I hear someone didn't make it out. Drowning is by far my worst fears. That's why I put my daughter in swim when she was a year old and she does refresher courses .
Ditto to what everyone else is saying here: what a legend, and what a shame.
I saw the 60 minutes piece on Agnes years ago and remember being really moved by the story of her life. RIP Agnes, explorer extraordinaire! This cave reminds me of the cave in Fennimore Wisconsin. There is a video of it and the divers do no mount. They are savages!
That music was beautiful and eerie all at the same time. I wasn’t sure if this was the dive she lost her life, I’m so glad it wasn’t, after that restriction work, I didn’t wanna see anything bad. She was meant for cave diving. Absolutely beautiful.
I can’t even watch this! My anxiety level is fatal
That music is so eerie. Very familiar too.
We had our national (Australian) documentary program do a documentary on her and her father spoke on losing his only daughter where he said he was extremely pained but took solace that she died doing something she loved
finally, i have been waiting all day xD RIP Agnes!
Thanks for sharing, she was incredible ❤️
Great tribute boys! RIP to a legend!!
Oh my! I've been waiting for this!! After watching your videos..my curiosity has increase more!😆 i watch and read some other videos and articles about your world of diving. I become eager to know..those amazing deep/cave divers and their stories.. Well..some are truly heartbreaking.. but some are also truly fascinating. I do wish you'll be able to react to all of them.☺ Anyway, another video to gain knowledge for..here we go!☺
Yikes, what a girl, sorry to hear the loss for everyone. Thank you for sharing.
Even the best and most experienced divers can perish in the caves. Rip to a legend.
Great video..wish I had her level of bravery. Good to see y'all.
Guys, I'm pretty sure the Location in the video is Rock Bluff Spring on the Suwannee River.
fantastic video as always. RIP Agnes.
I think woody could get gus into those caves if there were GOLD and DIAMONDS on the other side of the restriction......
I miss watching your stuff! just had a baby and been super busy! But keep up the great workl!
Because of ear surgeries I can’t ever dive. But I love the water and wonder if I could be a dive safety person that just helped with equipment and checklist. Like a triple safety redundancy after the instructor and buddy system. I also love helping people. Anyways, you two are legends.
The music when she first gets in the water gives me the chills. Really cool choirs.
Crazy footage. Was looking at DR Ebersole as well since he’s close to me. Reminds me of cleaning some boats.
I will always be MORE than happy to be introduced to more amazing bad ass cave divers and explorers! You guys have opened up an entire new world to me and so many others! I’m sure everyone else will also agree with me in saying this, so please if anything, keep showing us more people and introducing us to more and more amazing and wonderful places! Also, Gus you were born in 83!? Wow you’re only 6 years older than me! No offence, but I would have guessed you were a bit older!
FYI RE; Sanctum. I have heard numerous accounts of technical consultants on movie sets getting ignored because directors will sacrifice technical accuracy for what looks exciting on film. Poetic license i believe its called
Look at her just beaming. You can tell when someone is in their element and feeling passion. But as the mom of a daring girl, this is difficult to watch. Heartbreaking end to a life with so much potential. 💔🙏
When Mother Nature does everything she can to tell you not to go there - but you do anyway = badass.
I am sorry for the end of a beautiful life. Love to you both.
Amazing job by the camera person too! Great tribute.
If I couldn’t fit the first two times, I wouldn’t attempt a third, I’m getting anxious just by looking at it.
Another excellent video guys 👍👍 y'all are great
thanks for making these great videos
Glad you like them!
It's a great video of a true rock star.
That no mount is what happened to those experienced divers at Eagle’s Nest right? Rebreather drop to floor, diver shot to ceiling, cave was silted out. Scary stuff.
She died doing what she loved. She lived a full life despite her young age. Amen.
She was such a beautiful person. Will never forget her smile.Such a pioneer of cave diving with so much courage and heart.Up there with the likes of Shackleton and Hillary, only under water. Will never forget you.
I really liked her personality and approach to tec diving sad that she passed away at 29.
