I was looking for a fun guitar to add to my fender telecaster since I was nostalgic of my shredding days in the 90s. I didn’t want to spend lots. I came across your video of the monsoon guitar. I bought one right after watching your video. Now maybe I’ll get this little box why not at this price. I just can’t believe the quality of entry level guitar and effects you can get now a day.
I'm using the blackbox version for acoustic sets. It's awesome for using acoustic IR's, disable the amp models, a bit a reverb, a solo boost and all battery powered so you just get up on stage, plug in and play in 30 seconds.
Looks and sounds good. Have you seen the new Hotone mini? It's in a higher bracket at $229 on Sweetwater but it has a touchscreen, drum machine, looper, ir loader, over 100 models, 199 effects and can be ran as an interface through usb-c.
It seems like it's stronger in its drive options. However it does pack a ton of stuff in for that price. Not to mention its size. It would be perfect for a pedal board. In fact, I'd be interested to see how it fairs in a pedal chain sometime if you're willing.
That thing is pretty cool and seems very intuitive compared to other multi effect units. I'm also thinking that maybe my ac15 which has a bit of white noise when the pedalboard is plugged in will be a little quiter with a pedal like this that has it's own power source. Awesome demo Shredder thanks!
Multiple great tones and versatility with the ability to enhance. The battery life is sweet! You mentioned on the effects that it was reverb OR it was this OR that. Doesn’t that mean we can’t put them in a chain?
It is just a rebranded M-vave blackbox. It can capture amps like a Tonex pedal!!!!!!! I just converted 6 Mesa Mark IIC+ amp profiles from tonex to M-vave format... If you give me an e-mail I will send them to you.
It is definitely worth it, but does it sound better then your pod Farm? Not to me. It's still a great buy especially if you just want to practic with out a computer or a actual amp.
I think its great. I feel that its better than the tank G. Id like to know what your dinal drive and speaker are. Is it just your computer, or an actual cab? I dont understand anything past regular amps. I have Katana and Code amps . But they have their own cabs.
Perhaps Metal Dude can finally try out those free IR's I've been harping about! You can load custom Impulse responses on the Silverbox, so now there's no excuse for Metal Dude to not check out those free IR's from Ola Englund, Resington, and The Other John Browne (that is, unless Richard catches him first!)
wow, i have the podGo, which is already a mini version of bigger Line 6 multis, and this seems like a mini PodGo. I highly recommend newer guitarists to get something like this to experiment with sounds before buying hundreds and hundreds of dollars worth of bigger and more famous pedals.
I bought one of these and sent it back. My NU-X MG300 sounds better so I thought no sense having this thing sitting around. Donner is selling these now. Same box, same color, just with their name on it.
I started getting interested in this little puppy, then found out there are no stereo outputs. Mono only. My first and really crappy modeler STILL supported stereo. Pass. But that's for me. I'd imagine this box would be crammed with value for money.
All those variations in a little box with an LED screen? Ain't tech great? I have to say, however, that there is a sameness going on in music these days and I suspect it has a lot to do with simulated amp and cabs and such. So, do devices like this spur creativity or hinder it?
I personally find myself distracted and constantly adjusting and fiddling. It's very fascinating. So no guitar gets played. When I learn songs , I unplug from everything, or get out one of my simple old Crates. As far as creating my own riffs, I find inspiration from a good sound works best for me
Id say it's more to do with people wanting to use the same presets as far as drums, guitar tone, speakers so that they can compete with what's already popular and works. When if they would just make a sound of their own they would stand out based on that
Great question that would make an interesting discussion. For me, messing around with tech at the same time as playing just doesn't work; I can't be musically creative while messing with settings as it seems to destroy it. I think it depends on what kind of music you want to make, e.g. just a song or maybe a whole soundscape and if it's the latter, then being creative with what you have in the box is a must. Quite a lot of music hinges on 'sounds', in which case you're going to be using far more tech than this. I keep saying, there are no distortion/od sounds that haven't come before, just ones that people have forgotten about, so the same sounds are being used as retro sounds in so many of these devices and with the same kind of tech from the electronics, yes, you're right, they're all sounding quite samey, even the helixes and quad cortexes of the world sound very similar, and then there's a whole sea of mid-priced stuff to consider too, which is where the issue mainly lies, I think.
Why not zoom in so we can see the interface even if it's just the one camera angle. You've got all that screen real estate not being used? I... just... don't... get... it.
Cool. But I'm a simple man, its just waaayyyy too much. I'd spend more time screwing around with it than actually playing. I do really like a lot of the presets though.
Aww, M-vave just messed up their future as a company. Not even out of the gate and already dumping it under different brands. Comp OR boost OR noise gate. Answered my questions for me. I'll pass, but it is great value for the money from everything I can see.
They have been doing this from the beginning. They used to be Cuvave and sold their stuff under their own name as well as through the white label market where a bunch of other "manufacturers" sold it too, with their "brand name" printed on it. Now they are M-Vave and they still do the same thing. I have seen their stuff marketed under a variety of different brand names like Leo Jaymz and Playwell most recently. Sometimes presets differ depending upon the brand but, it's all the same gear. It does indeed represent excellent value for the dollar. I have been happy with amp modelling since the mid 2000s, still have some of that older Line 6 stuff and it is still perfectly good and gig worthy. Got a few of the newer gen modelers on the low end, Mooer, NUX and M-vave, While the NUX pc/device interface is better, the modelling is close enough to be subjective. Any of the 3 low $ units would work gigging and sound better than my POD Live XT. The Tank-G has the edge simply because it's a 4 button unit and I can use a low cost (M-vave Chocolate) BT Midi foot controller with it to give me a total of 8 buttons. So I get 4 buttons for preset selection and 4 to toggle individual blocks on/off.
No expression pedal jack so useless, only worth about US $45 SRP. Beside the fact they never sound the same on our home equipment, no matter what amps or guitars we use, just more eventual clutter of junk.
@@adamstein9333 The M-Vavae Chocolate or Chocolate + is a good place to start. Cheap and good and Wireless. I know the Chocolate has expression pedal in, I have not found a way to sync it up with the Tank-G yet, Maybe the BlackBox has variable parameter control in the midi options.

You had me at preset #1
@20:05 I love that sound. Thanks for the demo Bro

I have a Cubaby acoustic one that you can load acoustic IR's into, but this idea sounds a lot cooler... gonna give it a whirl...
I like this unit much more than the tank G..very simple and easy to understand, and sounds great..Nice Vid Richard

Killer video dude! That pedal sounds pretty good 👋

Wow. Sounds pretty darn good. Might have to get a couple and sell the Helix!
Wild. I ordered this yesterday on Amazon and it just came in. I haven't played with it yet, but looking forward to it...
I don't know anything about the tank, but the silverbox is very useful and easy to use
I am glad I am not the only one that needs bright lights and glasses to read small worded documentation. Great Demo
LOL The part about the instructions. You know us all too well! 😂
This stuff comes out so often I'm afraid to get it because it'll be outdated before I get the last one in the mail
It was out dated when dude thought of it
Pretty cool little device!

Leo is a smart dude
Sounds insanely good...and only 80 bucks??? Who wouldn't want one?
Nice Sounds I hear a lot of 80s style sounds coming from it...👍👍👍
Multiple great tones and versatility with the ability to enhance. The battery life is sweet!
You mentioned on the effects that it was reverb OR it was this OR that. Doesn’t that mean we can’t put them in a chain?
You can have delay + reverb + modulation in a chain going together.
I like my Tank-G because it's just such a pretty purple! 💜🎶💜🎶💜

Do you know if you can use the chocolate midi controller like in the black box with this
@@T.Y.D.D.i.T.B Y use it with a chocolate, thei pair without doing anything.
Great Gadget, it has a lot of possibilities in one pedal.
I think it's awesome 😎
Sounded pretty good

No not better than my POD Farm, but it's portable. I can't take my POD Farm anywhere since it's on my PC.
Cool pedal

But that Eagle Savage.... Dayum!!!!
Is the same device than M-VAVE Blackbox! and Blackbox was first and is cheaper! I love my Blackbox.
Can the delay do slap back?

Appears to be BT in not out !
Anyone know if this pedal will get you the BOSTON sound?
Aww man! You mean I need use a magnifying glass to read that little book. Damn!😌😂😌😂

Can or should I use it thru a FX on my amp. ?
Not sure. Try it and see how it sounds.
Can we switch the order of the presets so a lead preset can be next to the rhythm preset?
@@leblon712 yes
@thebaldshredder awesome, ordering mine now
🤘

Yeah, it's got to have a stereo out or not interested!
Its $100 dude! What do you expect. Duh.
May I please pay You for Your All Shredder Pro Captures?
It's sounds good but doing all the blibidy blabida pushing and scrolling is 😮 like all the rest

The 1980's re-lived in an affordable box!
I don't know if I would want an "all-in-one" pedal. If it stops working you have "NONE-in-one." This does have decent sounds though.
I only shred

Exactly the same as a Donner
Donner makes the same thing, well, they don't make it, they sell it. LOL.
