- Always exchange currency from the authorised bank counters in Vietnam. They will be able to provide best rates.
At airport charges to exchange $100 was $7 and at the bank counter charges were just $3 for $300.

Is forex card is suitable or convert to hard cash from airport, banks in Vietnam?
Kindly reply it’s important
Carry both.
On some places card won’t work and Vietnam currency has very low value, so you won’t be able to carry too much cash as well.

You got currency exchanged at bank..so how did u pay for cab from airport to hotel?
Also, which forex did u use on vietnam trip..and what was the mark up fee?
I paid for the cab via forex card at the airport.
I used tripmoney forex card from make my trip, there was no mark up fee on that card.
But, I think that card is now discontinued.
