My bf and I have been together for 8 years. We just got engaged in last December. I love my space. He gives me my own time and I give his. But we're still close together as ever. 311 will is going to stick tight for years to come. Whats wrong with space? Nothing to do with roots. 311 4 ever!
Wow...this is not the 311 I know from a few years ago...I can't believe they are on different buses now...they were always so close, like family...to hear Nick say,"After 15 years they need space," is just so far from what he would have said 5 years ago...I think they have lost their roots..."you know you've made it when you don't have to open your own doors," so different from the Nick Hexum I met 10 years ago...too bad...what happened to "Omaha blinds".
Yea it definitely seems like the band has grown apart despite being together. I look at my own life (33) and I have lost all the friendships I have had most of them 20+ years long. Many factors in this but interesting to think about.
My intention was not to have any argument at all...especially one that "pretty much falls through"...No matter when the video was shot they are different than they were ok maybe 15 years ago when i was first really beginning to listen to them...I find it funny that a simple opinion, observation is called an argument....it is what it is...I still love 311 no matter what...their music is like a soundtrack for my life...so there is only love...
Nothing wrong with space..it's weird that Nick is on a bus alone, while the rest of the band is on a bus together, still living the lifestyle they had all lived for so long. Me and my fiance have been together for 13 years this next Friday, so I too can say from experience that while I think that space is important, you definitely don't create or maintain a bond while you are not with the person you intend to create or maintain a bond with. The vibe has changed..that is what I was commenting on
