Definitely laggier than the stock twins - I hit full boost ~41-4200 but it's really not bad. Car doesn't feel gutless around town or anything. The car is in a weird middle-ground of not quite having enough fueling to take advantage of the 2+. I'm not making a ton more power than a spicy E85 tune on stock twins would make - but it'll be a different story when I get the EU5's and Dorch kit on Here's a datalog for reference on how boost builds - this is a 3rd-4th pull: www.bootmod3.net/log?id=61b5516cae729b7734931315
Yeah here I was tuned by F80Paul for E50. Other mods included: SSR crankhub VRSF intakes, charge pipes, single mid-pipe, downpipes, OEM muffler Bend Calibration ultimate flex-fuel kit Spec twin-disc (I broke my OEM unit)
@@mushy1983123 Yeah I was stock injectors and everything. They were my limiting factor at the time for sure. EU5's would have given me a little more room but I redid the fuel system with a Dorch kit, precision raceworks LPFP and EU5's
All been totally fine. No problems whatsoever with the transmission. I had a mechanical defect with my factory clutch so I ended up breaking a support strap back when it was just a stage 2 car and am running a Spec twin-disc now.
@@MikeyG003 I ended up just wanting to knock it all out together. Spec twin-disc comes with a new flywheel. topgearsolutions.com/spec-twin-disc-clutch-kit-sb55pt-p-trim-for-2015-2020-bmw-m3-m4-f80-f82/ - I paid ~1600ish for the clutch/flywheel When we got it all out the stock dual mass flywheel was in really good shape.
@@heitzke ohh okay, nice! Loll I always try to get stuff from topgear cuz no tax. I think my clutch is starting to slip ever since running e30 for a few months. Only 39k miles and I don’t abuse the clutch or launch. How’s the chatter/ driving with the spec twin disk? Might just need a clutch upgrade lol
@@MikeyG003 It's actually super super easy to drive and the pedal feel is great. No chatter starting off in 1st, just a little bit of the twin-disc "groaning/churning" noise when you're sitting in neutral. I've been really happy with the clutch in general
Golden!
Dream one day for my m4c. Great vid
Thanks! It's an awful lot of fun
Niceeee! How’s the lag compared to the stock turbos?

I ended up running a best 6.80 for a 60-130 on stock fueling. Lots left on the table with fueling upgrades and a retune

It makes sense. He needs the pure stg 2 due to his snail-like shifting. Now his car is as fast as a stock M3.
Nailed it, lol
How is the 6 speed holding up. Any issues with the transmission?

Did you have to get a new flywheel for that setup?
