    Ben I love your videos. I know it is time consuming for you to make them and I know they are not your focus but they are so very helpful! Thanks for sharing your knowledge!

    Nice Ben! I just got a bucket-o-walnuts from a friend. This would make things so easy. :-)

    Question for you:
    Is there a difference between walnut trees that are grown for lumber and walnut trees grown for nut crops?

      The two most popular walnut trees for nuts are English and black. Theyc are also the two most popular for their wood as well

    After a few seasons the cast aluminum gear wore out. If it was steel, then it might last forever.

      +Ben Falk :) I admit it's not my favorite sound, but your videos are worth it (and it's undetectable in your wonderful book).

    Not impressed with nutcracker. You are left with trying to dig arms out of shell, since it crushes the shell, you mostly destroy trying to get the arms out in the process. Time consuming and isn't anymore efficient than a hammer...

    • @wholesystems
      @wholesystems  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You've tried it? Never heard of anyone not amazed by it who have been using it.

    • @dansmith8174
      @dansmith8174 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@wholesystems Yes.. a person skilled with a hammer, will outperform the cracker. The cracker will break the shell easily, but you still have the nut entrapped in the hull. It's not worth the cost. An harbor press would be just as good for less money with greater applications.

    • @wholesystems
      @wholesystems  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dansmith8174 the press usually does not leave the nut meat trapped, you must not have used it much if that was your experience. But glad a hammer works for you.

      @@wholesystems 🤨... I purchased to eliminate the hammer process, you may be happy.. for me?... but the reason I wanted cracker was for an easier process...
      The video show's someone 'picking' out a small portion of nut, rather than two whole halves. That's what I now see in video's with all the master cracker type nutcrackers; and have now experienced, myself. The cracker is basically an expensive weak arbor press, that's all it is.

      @@dansmith8174 ok we’ll share a video of how well the hammer process works.. and link here so everyone can benefit. That’s the point of this video..
